Job Description

Paid Social Specialist
Duration: 9/16/26 – 3/31/27

Hourly Rate: $50
Hours: ~20-30 hrs/week (will fluctuate week to week)
Location: Hybrid team based in Rochester, NY. Local candidates preferred, but open to remote for the right fit.  East coast working hours are a must!

About the Role
The team is bringing on a Paid Social Specialist to provide support across two client pods while two team leads are out on leave (staggered, starting early November and mid-January). This is a behind-the-scenes role, not client-facing, supporting mid-level tasks so senior specialists can step up into higher-level work.

Core Responsibilities

  • QA social campaigns across Meta, Reddit, and TikTok for a mix of clients (~75% healthcare, plus agriculture, alcohol, and banking)
  • Reconcile and manage work in Prisma
  • QC data dashboards and flag inconsistencies (e.g., reach vs. impressions)
  • Collaborate with senior specialists to resolve QA and data flags
  • Maintain process documentation as needed
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects: industry trend POVs, file organization, and other team support as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience, comfortable jumping into an established process and workflow quickly
  • Contract/freelance experience a plus, since ramp-up time will be limited
  • Healthcare marketing experience is a strong bonus, not required
  • Detail-oriented, especially given the regulated nature of several clients
  • Comfortable working independently while reporting into senior specialists day to day

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
