Precision Door Service (PDS) is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who will advise, problem solve and oversee a variety of payroll operations including multi-state payroll administration, timekeeping and workforce management to name a few. As a compliance expert, you’ll stay abreast of both payroll, tax & employment laws. As a technology & systems expert, you’ll own the payroll & timekeeping system management. In your spare time, you’ll help on a variety of small and major HR initiatives that will be fun, challenging, and make a giant impact.

What you will do: 

  • Oversee payroll administration including compilation, analysis, preparation, and input of payroll related information into payroll system ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Resolve problems and respond to inquiries related to payroll earnings, deductions and tax withholding.
  • Compile and review payroll-related information for year-end reporting.
  • Research tax requirements and prepares tax filings for workers’ compensation and any special information requested for external parties/auditors.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws while monitoring regulatory and legislative changes that impacts payroll. Propose and implement changes to systems and processes when needed.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records, reports and historical changes to employee or payroll records. 
 
What you should bring:

  • 4+ years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a multi-state payroll environment preferably within California.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • A track record of delivering consultative approaches to payroll administration, systems architecture and labor analytics.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $25 – $38 per hour.
