About the Role
The People Business Partner Director, Product & Technology serves as the strategic talent advisor to the Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer, shaping and executing the people strategy that enables product innovation, engineering excellence, and scalable global growth.
This role operates at the intersection of business and people strategy. You will translate Product and Technology priorities into forward-looking workforce, leadership, and culture strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. As a senior member of the People team, you will influence executive decision-making, architect organizational effectiveness, and build high-performing technical leadership teams.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, People Business Partners, with broad enterprise impact across global Product & Technology organizations and touch points within other business units.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Partnership & Executive Advisory
Act as a trusted advisor to the CPO, CTO, and their leadership teams, influencing organizational design, operating models, talent investments, and leadership effectiveness.
Translate business strategy into multi-year people business plans that support product innovation, technical scalability, and competitive differentiation.
Provide counsel on executive-level people matters, including succession planning, leadership team effectiveness, and organizational risk.
Organizational Design & Workforce Strategy
Lead end-to-end organizational design and development initiatives across engineering, product management, design, and technical functions to enable clarity, accountability, and velocity.
Drive global workforce planning aligned to product roadmaps, innovation cycles, and long-term growth strategy.
Anticipate capability gaps and design targeted talent strategies to build critical technical skill depth.
Talent & Leadership Development
Lead enterprise-level talent reviews and succession planning processes for Product & Technology while connecting the dots within the broader PS org eco-system.
Elevate leadership capability through coaching, targeted development strategies, and high-impact programming.
Partner with leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams that attract and retain top technical talent.
Change Leadership & Business Transformation
Lead people strategy through complex change initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, integrations, restructures, and business transformations.
Serve as a change architect, ensuring clarity, communication, and adoption across distributed and global teams.
Identify organizational health risks and proactively implement solutions to sustain engagement and performance.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Leverage workforce analytics, engagement data, retention trends, and performance insights to inform executive decisions.
Use data to diagnose root causes, identify systemic challenges, and implement scalable, people-centric solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with People Centers of Excellence (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Org Effectiveness & Engagement, People Analytics, People Compliance and Employee Relations) to ensure programs align with business strategy.
Influence enterprise People initiatives to reflect the unique needs of technical and innovation-driven teams.
Experience You’ll Bring
12+ years of progressive HR or People Business Partner experience, including significant experience supporting senior Product, Engineering, or Technology leaders in high-growth or innovation-driven environments.
Demonstrated expertise in organizational design for technical teams, including scaling distributed engineering and product organizations.
Proven success advising executive leadership and influencing complex business decisions.
Strong track record in workforce planning, succession strategy, executive coaching, and talent optimization.
Deep knowledge of employment law and risk mitigation in global or multi-state environments.
Exceptional business acumen with the ability to connect people strategy to product delivery, engineering velocity, and financial outcomes.
Outstanding executive presence and ability to build credibility across diverse technical and business audiences.
In Your First 12 Months, You Will
Establish trusted executive partnerships with the CPO and CTO.
Drive development and execution of People business plans and recommend necessary people talent strategies and ensure partnership on financial management.
Elevate succession bench strength across Product & Engineering leadership.
Improve engagement and retention within critical technical talent segments.
Lead at least one high-impact organizational transformation initiative.

Pay Transparency
The annual US base salary range for this role is $126,700 – $156,400 USD. Compensation will be determined based on geography, experience, skills, and business needs. This role may also be eligible for bonus and additional benefits.
