Our Global Platform Engineering team is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure, tooling, and services that enable our engineering teams to deliver at scale safely and reliably.

As a Platform Engineer within this newly created team, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of the systems and services that form the foundation of our platforms. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to build scalable solutions, improve automation, and support areas such as cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer experience.

You’ll bring curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies, with a strong interest in building reliable and efficient infrastructure. Thriving in an environment that welcomes continuous improvement and new ideas, your communication skills and attention to detail will be indispensable as you help turn complex challenges into practical solutions that make life easier for engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to building and improving platform services, writing code, reviewing changes, and supporting deployments

  • Work alongside senior engineers to design and implement solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience

  • Help maintain and operate core systems such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring

  • Participate in incident response and retrospectives, contributing to learning and improvement

  • Collaborate with other engineers to understand needs and translate them into practical platform solutions

  • Take ownership of tasks and smaller projects, while developing towards owning larger areas of the platform

What You'll Have

  • Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS is required, and exposure to other major cloud providers is nice to have

  • Familiarity with security best practices and automation tools.

  • Experience contributing to the operation of production systems, ideally in a distributed or cloud environment.

Experience with some of the following areas, and eagerness to learn the rest:

  • Docker and Kubernetes (we use Amazon EKS in production)

  • Python or other scripting languages

  • Datadog or similar monitoring/logging tools

  • Messaging queues or event-driven systems (we use RabbitMQ)

  • Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Networking basics

  • PostgreSQL or another relational database

  • Linux system administration basics

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Exposure to multi-team environments or shared platform services.

  • Interest in data-focused systems such as analytics, telemetry, or IoT

  • Familiarity with CI/CD or observability practices beyond the basics

  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning from more senior engineers

  • Salary - The expected salary range for this Platform Engineer II role is between $118,000 - $151,000 annually. Your exact compensation will be determined by your technical expertise, professional experience, and how well your unique skills align with the role's specific needs.
