Strategy & Transformation PMO Analyst

Location: Virtual-first (U.S.-based) | Remote position with travel requirements varying by engagement, up to 50% to client sites in your region. Hiring regionally to serve a global customer base, with priority given to candidates in the Americas and EMEA.

Type: Full-time or Contract-to-Hire
About Global Transformation Group

Global Transformation Group is the consulting sister organization of PMO Strategies, creators of the IMPACT Engine System™ and host of the PMO Strategies Podcast. With shared ownership, the two organizations operate collaboratively—ensuring our teams have access to the best training, tools, and resources to deliver high-IMPACT outcomes for our clients and students.

At Global Transformation Group, we turn vision into value. Our mission is to help forward-thinking organizations close the gap between strategy design and execution using the IMPACT Engine System™—a proven transformation framework that builds internal capability, accelerates performance, and delivers measurable business outcomes.

We help organizations accelerate strategy delivery by operating at the intersection of strategy, operations, and change. From ambitious mid-sized companies to global enterprises, we enable clients to organize, operate, and deliver differently—so they can lead with greater agility, clarity, and confidence.

About the Role

We’re looking for a PMO Analyst—a sharp, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and coordination skills who thrives on creating order from complexity. In this role, you’ll support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise project management and transformation practices across client engagements.

This is a role for someone who loves connecting the dots—between strategy and execution, data and decisions, people and process. You’ll work closely with senior consultants and client teams to provide analysis, insights, and structure that enable high-IMPACT delivery across portfolios, programs, and projects.

What You’ll Do

PMO & Portfolio Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret portfolio and program data to provide actionable insights for decision-making.

  • Support portfolio prioritization, planning, and governance activities, ensuring alignment to strategic goals.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate progress, risks, and opportunities.

  • Track benefits realization and ensure project outcomes are tied to measurable business impact.

Project & Process Support

  • Coordinate and track key milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies across initiatives.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining PMO frameworks, templates, and processes aligned with the IMPACT Engine System™.

  • Support project scheduling, resource management, and reporting to ensure accuracy and visibility.

  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and consistency across programs.

Change & Communication Enablement

  • Support change and stakeholder management efforts, ensuring that messages, timelines, and impacts are clearly communicated.

  • Partner with transformation leads to ensure project and portfolio updates are timely, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Help create artifacts, playbooks, and tools that reinforce alignment and adoption across stakeholder groups.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management

  • Participate in project retrospectives, capturing lessons learned and improvement opportunities.

  • Maintain PMO repositories and knowledge bases, ensuring information is current, consistent, and accessible.

  • Contribute to internal GTG innovation efforts by refining templates, tools, and methodologies used across client engagements.

What You Bring
  • 3–6+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or portfolio management support—consulting experience a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization, metrics tracking, and portfolio reporting.

  • Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Planview, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, Power BI).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.

  • Solid understanding of project delivery lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with a broader understanding of strategic priorities.

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification preferred.

  • IMPACT Engine System™ Certification preferred (support provided if not already certified).

Ideal Candidate

You’re a curious problem-solver with a passion for structure, insights, and clarity. You bring both analytical rigor and people skills to the table—comfortable working with data but equally effective communicating its meaning. You thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy helping teams perform at their best through thoughtful organization and insight.

We operate like a start-up inside a mature consulting firm: high trust, low politics, and obsessed with impact. If you want autonomy, collaboration, and a platform to grow your consulting and analytical career—this is your seat.

Why Join Us (Instead of a Big Firm)?

Think of us as what the big consulting companies could be—with soul.

  • You implement transformation, not just recommend it.
  • No armies of analysts, no layers of red tape. You work directly with executives and our leadership team.
  • You grow your own thought leadership, not just your billing hours.
  • You’ll help refine the system, not just follow one.
  • You’ll work on what matters. High-impact transformation. Strategic enablement. Long-term capability building.
Career Growth & Development
  • Advance quickly into more senior roles or client advisory positions as you demonstrate mastery.
  • Become a Strategy Navigator™, our highest-tier designation for advisors who shape strategy, not just delivery.
  • Participate in internal innovation and thought leadership, including speaking, writing, and contributing to new IES tools and approaches.
  • Access IES certification, advanced coaching, and mastermind communities to stay sharp and continually evolve your own leadership.
Engagement Model
  • Contract-to-hire: Initial consulting engagement with a strong path to a permanent leadership position.
  • Virtual-first work model, with travel to client locations as needed.
  • Compensation aligned with experience and engagement scope, with opportunities to grow.
How to Apply

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining:

  • Why you're excited to join Global Transformation Group, PMO Strategies sister company
  • Relevant experience aligned with this role
  • Your availability and compensation expectations

We’re building something meaningful—and we’re looking for people who are ready to make an IMPACT.

Does this role feel wonderful but a bit intimidating? If you have some, but not all the experience, please submit anyway, as we are going to have multiple PMO and transformation delivery roles. You can also check out our other postings, such as the Project Manager role, that might be a closer fit.
