Senior Manager – PMO Services (Program Management & Transformation)

Program management isn’t about managing projects.

It’s about creating clarity where others see complexity. It’s about connecting strategy to execution, bringing together multiple workstreams, anticipating obstacles before they become problems, and helping organizations accomplish what once felt impossible.

If you are passionate about delivering outcomes—not simply tracking milestones—if you naturally connect the dots across functions and people, challenge assumptions, earn the trust of leadership, and thrive in the middle of complex transformation, we’d love to meet you.

CFGI is looking for an experienced Program Manager to help our clients deliver some of their most complex initiatives while helping us continue building a world-class PMO Services practice.

What You'll Do

  • Lead complex client programs from strategy through execution.
  • Orchestrate multiple concurrent workstreams, proactively managing risks, dependencies, governance, and executive decision-making.
  • Partner with senior client leaders to turn strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships that allow you to influence without formal authority.
  • Collaborate across CFGI practices to deliver integrated solutions for our clients.
  • Roll up your sleeves to strengthen our methodologies, share lessons learned, support business development efforts, and continuously improve how we deliver transformation.

What You Must Have

  • 10–12+ years of experience leading business and technology projects in consulting or enterprise environments.
  • Several years of experience leading transformation programs from strategy through successful implementation.
  • Experience personally leading complex transformation programs—not simply participating in them.
  • Demonstrated success orchestrating multiple concurrent workstreams with cross-functional and executive-level dependencies.
  • Proven ability to build integrated program plans that connect people, priorities, governance, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders at different levels and driving alignment without relying on formal authority.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to anticipate issues, challenge assumptions, and solve problems before they impact delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop compelling executive presentations, steering committee materials, governance artifacts, and program communications that create visibility and drive informed decisions.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience building integrated program plans that connect multiple workstreams, organizations, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience successfully managing cross-functional and cross-dependency initiatives where the path forward was not always obvious.
  • Experience integrating organizational change into delivery, recognizing that successful transformation depends on people—not just plans.
  • A track record of earning credibility by solving difficult problems, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and enabling teams to execute with confidence.
  • Experience contributing to methodologies, lessons learned, business development, and continuous improvement of transformation delivery.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working across both business and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting or helping build PMO, program management, or transformation capabilities within a consulting or enterprise environment.

Who Thrives Here

  • Has a passion for building clarity in environments where priorities compete and ambiguity is high.
  • Naturally connects strategy to execution and understands how decisions ripple across organizations.
  • Brings an ownership mindset, rolls up their sleeves, improves how work gets done, and leaves every program stronger than they found it.
  • Builds trust with leadership and influences effectively without formal authority.
  • Challenges assumptions and anticipates obstacles before they become problems.
  • Has a genuine passion for the discipline of program management and a desire to elevate the profession through mentorship, continuous improvement, and execution excellence.
  • Has earned the right to lead transformations through successful delivery—not through managing the paperwork around them.

If your passion is checking off tasks, updating status reports, or simply facilitating meetings, this role probably isn’t the right fit. If you thrive in complexity, instinctively connect strategy to execution, and know that successful programs are built on leadership, trust, governance, and relentless execution, we’d love to talk.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
