Objective

Support the client's U.S. marketing expansion by producing high-quality, human-written marketing and website content for a Shopify SaaS platform focused on post-purchase customer retention. The writer will help refresh and rewrite key marketing assets as part of an ongoing rebrand while maintaining the company's established brand voice and messaging.

Profile Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical SaaS Content Writer with strong Shopify eCommerce and B2B SaaS experience. The ideal candidate understands technical software products, can quickly learn complex platforms, and has experience writing persuasive marketing content that supports customer acquisition and retention.

Candidates with previous experience writing for Shopify ecosystem companies or products focused on post-purchase, customer retention, loyalty, or merchant solutions are highly preferred.

Scope
  • Initial engagement: 20 hours per week, (90 hours/month)
  • Initial duration: 3 months, opportunity to extend into a long-term engagement based on performance
  • Reports to the client's Content Lead
  • Brand guidelines and messaging framework already established
Responsibilities
  • Rewrite and optimize website copy as part of a major rebranding initiative
  • Create landing page copy focused on SaaS products
  • Write technical product content
  • Develop website copy that clearly communicates product features and value
  • Produce blog articles related to Shopify, eCommerce, and SaaS
  • Create paid advertising copy for Google, YouTube, Shopify, and display campaigns
  • Write LinkedIn and occasional social media content
  • Produce event collateral including:
    • Booth messaging, Brochures, Conference materials, and Display signage
  • Develop sales enablement materials including:
    • Pricing sheets
    • Sales collateral
    • Customer Success resources
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Content, Marketing, SMEs, and Legal when necessary
  • Maintain consistency with existing brand guidelines
Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience writing for Shopify or B2B SaaS companies
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce
  • Experience writing technical software content
  • Experience creating website copy, landing pages, and blogs
  • Excellent persuasive copywriting skills
  • Ability to learn complex software products quickly
  • Strong understanding of customer retention and post-purchase marketing
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills

Preferred:

  • Experience writing for Shopify apps or merchants
  • Familiarity with companies such as Klaviyo, Yotpo, AfterShip, or similar platforms
  • Experience creating event collateral and sales enablement materials
  • Ability to collaborate with legal teams on compliance-sensitive copy
