A Better Opportunity
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Pricing Engine Manager to oversee and optimize two pricing engines that power our publicly available rates on major marketplace websites, including Credit Karma, Bankrate, MoneyLion, LendingTree, Nerdwallet, and others. This role is critical in ensuring that our marketing pricing engines remain aligned with our core pricing strategy while maximizing competitiveness and profitability in public marketplaces.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain synchronization between our core pricing engine and marketing pricing engines by working closely with Capital Markets, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Ensure pricing changes reflect market conditions and align with internal pricing strategies.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline pricing updates and minimize discrepancies between internal and external rate displays.
- Continuously monitor rate competitiveness across marketplace websites and identify opportunities for arbitrage where pricing discrepancies can be leveraged for increased volume or margin.
- Analyze competitor rate positioning and recommend adjustments to optimize market share.
- Conduct regular competitive analysis and track trends in borrower demand, conversion rates, and pricing performance.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue per marketing dollar spent by optimizing pricing strategies, targeting, and placement.
- Work with marketing and analytics teams to test and refine pricing strategies that drive higher ROI.
- Implement data-driven decision-making by analyzing lead performance, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and return on investment (ROI) across different marketplace partners.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance pricing engine capabilities, including automation and predictive modeling.
- Develop real-time monitoring systems and dashboards to track pricing performance and anomalies.
- Generate regular performance reports highlighting key trends, optimization opportunities, and financial impact.
- Work with data science and analytics teams to refine predictive models for pricing optimization.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct experience in capital markets
- Strong understanding of mortgage pricing
- Experience with pricing engines, rate optimization, and lead marketplaces is required.
- Highly analytical, with advanced experience using SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (eg: Looker)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Capital Markets, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Data Science teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data-driven insights in a clear and actionable manner.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a test-and-learn mindset.
- Background in performance marketing, lead buying, or digital marketing optimization preferred
- Familiarity with API-driven pricing integrations and marketplace rate distribution preferred
