We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Principal Product Designer to reimagine our CRM as a truly AI-first and customer-obsessed platform. You’ll drive end-to-end design for platform experiences—including building out an experimental, highly modular composable UI where users collaborate with a co-pilot to gather insights through AI-generated cards. This space is new, bold, and highly influential for our product direction and competitiveness.

- Drive Composable UI Innovation: Lead the design and evolution of composable UI patterns that empower users to partner with AI and co-pilot tools, assembling personalized workflows and surfaces from dynamic, AI-generated components.
- Experiment and Iterate Fast: Embrace the “ship fast, learn faster” mindset from Day 1. Rapidly prototype, test, and learn from users to drive innovation in a heavily experimental new product space.
- Craft at the Highest Level: Deliver exceptional interaction and motion design for complex, data-driven surfaces, inspiring your team with craft and polish worthy of the best consumer-grade products.
- Build for Autonomy and Collaboration: Thrive in our small, empowered teams with high ownership, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, AI and Design Systems teams to move quickly and maximize impact for customers.
- Mentor and Elevate Others: Model user empathy, knowledge sharing, and growth throughout the design team. Help everyone, including yourself, become a better product thinker and collaborator.
- Raise the Bar: Set a high bar for quality, impact, and clarity in design. Seek feedback, embrace a growth mindset, and iterate to deliver real value.
- Ideally 10+ years of progressive product design experience, including enterprise and workflow-heavy apps
- Portfolio demonstrates mastery in interaction design, motion design, and system-level thinking across web, native, and data-rich experiences
- Direct experience designing AI or ML-powered products (preferably involving co-pilots, bots, generative features, or workflow automation)
- Curious and proactive in exploring emerging AI tools and technologies—eager to prototype, evaluate, and creatively apply them to elevate user experience and unlock new product value.
- Passionate about (and experienced in) developing composable, or highly flexible UI frameworks
- Customer-obsessed and highly collaborative; thrive working cross-functionally in empowered, autonomous teams
- Clear, compelling communication—comfortable influencing at all levels, and leading by making your thinking visible
- Courage to experiment, challenge assumptions, and try new approaches in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces
- Committed to inclusion and continuous learning—helping the team and product reflect diverse perspectives
- Experience in CRM, productivity, SaaS, or customer-facing business tool
- Ability to code or create advanced prototypes (Figma or vibe coding tools)
- Track record mentoring and inspiring other designers

Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
