The Microsoft Agentic Security organization is building the next generation of AI-powered security solutions, rethinking how security work gets done in the era of AI. The organization is pioneering a new security paradigm that combines frontier AI models, security expertise, knowledge graphs, and deep security context to transform how defenders detect, investigate, and respond to threats. As part of the Microsoft Agentic Security organization, you will help define and deliver the future of AI-native security experiences.

You will work at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and large-scale distributed systems, partnering closely with engineering, security research, design, and business leaders to create products used by security teams worldwide. As a Principal Product Manager, you will serve as an execution leader for strategic programs, ensuring that investments translate into successful customer and partner outcomes. You will drive cross-organizational programs spanning engineering, product management, operations, and partner teams; establish and lead the operating rhythms that govern execution; accelerate onboarding and adoption for first-party and future ecosystem partners; and ensure capabilities meet quality, readiness, and launch standards. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, manage complex dependencies, and create scalable processes that enable Microsoft Security teams to deliver agentic experiences with confidence, speed, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Drive product strategy, vision, and roadmap for key areas of Microsoft Agentic Security.
  • Define and deliver AI-native security experiences that combine reasoning, action, and human oversight.
  • Partner with engineering, security research, design, and data science teams to translate emerging technologies into customer value.
  • Lead the operational readiness model deliverables, including release governance, risk management, quality reviews, incident learning, and executive readiness processes that enable consistent and predictable delivery at scale


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.


Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
  • 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-organizational programs involving software engineering, cloud services, platform technologies, or developer ecosystems, with accountability for execution, delivery, and business outcomes.
  • Experience driving release readiness, operational excellence, incident management, service health reviews, or large-scale product launches across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience building and scaling onboarding, adoption, or customer/partner success programs for platform products, cloud services, AI systems, or developer-facing technologies, with measurable improvements in product adoption, readiness, or operational efficiency. 


Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
