Build at Auger

Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains — the layer that finally allows disparate systems like ERP, WMS, and TMS to work together instead of against each other.

Most supply chain software surfaces problems and waits for a human to act. Auger solves them. Our AI detects disruptions, evaluates trade-offs, and executes decisions automatically — moving from signal to action in seconds, not weeks. We eliminate the Coordination Tax: the billions in capital and time lost when disconnected systems force the best people in the business to become the Human API between planning and execution.

At Auger, we design autonomy into our systems. We expect the same from our people.

That means:
  • Clear ownership, not decision by consensus
  • First principles over inherited patterns
  • Shipping systems, not slide decks
  • Fast feedback from reality, not opinions

If you want to build, ship, and iterate against reality, Auger is for you.

Auger was founded by Dave Clark and is backed by $150M from Oak HC/FT and Eclipse Capital. Headquarters in Dallas, TX and Bellevue, Washington.
About the Role
Auger is building the autonomous operating system for supply chain. Our domain Product VPs build world-class capabilities for Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Intelligence. Our Product Leads work directly with customers to discover new workflows and validate them through rapid prototypes. You turn those discoveries into the platform every one of them stands on.

As Principal Product Manager, Platform Experience, you own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a significant portion of Auger's Core Platform: the shared capabilities every customer relies on regardless of which supply chain solutions they deploy. You transform validated customer innovations into scalable platform capabilities and production-quality software. Done well, customers immediately understand what the platform knows, why it made a recommendation, what actions it took, and what value it created, and every capability feels native to Auger no matter which team built it.

What You'll Do
  • Strategy, roadmap, and execution for core shared platform capabilities, including conversational AI and chat, report building, navigation and information architecture, search, notifications, identity and user management, shared workflows, cross-product experiences, and product language and interaction standards.
  • Proactive identification of opportunities to expand reusable platform capabilities, simplify complex workflows, and improve consistency across the platform, driving investments independently that strengthen the customer experience and let Product Leads move faster.
  • Own the product experience end to end, in close partnership with Design: interaction models, information architecture, product language, and shared workflows aligned with Auger's design system and standards, so every capability feels like part of one cohesive product.
  • Productization of validated concepts: refine interaction models, eliminate customer-specific complexity, establish scalable product requirements, partner with engineering through implementation, and hold every capability to Auger's quality bar before it reaches customers.
  • Pattern recognition across customer solutions, turning one-off capabilities into reusable platform investments that benefit multiple products and customers at once. When this work goes well, engineering builds against well-defined platform capabilities instead of reinventing common experiences, Product Leads innovate rapidly because the path from prototype to production is clear, and customers describe Auger as surprisingly simple despite the complexity of the problems it solves.

What You Bring
  • A track record of building software customers genuinely love using, with product taste that goes well beyond visual design: information architecture, interaction models, AI experiences, and the countless decisions that make sophisticated software feel effortless.
  • Proven ability to transform early customer concepts into scalable platform capabilities without losing what made them compelling in the first place.
  • High self-direction in ambiguous environments. You don't wait for requirements. You identify opportunities and drive initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Comfort leading conversations across customers, designers, engineers, executives, and Product Leads, with the judgment to know when to invest in reusable platform capabilities versus leverage existing patterns, and how to balance customer needs against long-term platform evolution.
  • An obsession with clarity, simplicity, consistency, and trust. You believe enterprise software should be as intuitive as the best consumer products while retaining the power to run global operations.
  • As Auger grows, new ideas will continuously emerge from customers, and new capabilities will be built across multiple product organizations at once. This role ensures the platform keeps evolving through scalable, reusable capabilities that preserve one coherent customer experience while accelerating innovation.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
