Your role at Dynatrace

Dynatrace is looking for an experienced Principal Product Marketing Manager to own the go-to-market strategy for our AI Observability solutions. You’ll define the messaging, positioning, and content that establishes Dynatrace as the leader in this fast-moving market — and helps organizations confidently deploy, manage, and extract value from AI-powered applications. This role works across product management, sales, and marketing to drive awareness, pipeline, and wins.
Responsibilities

  • Define compelling messaging, positioning and value propositions that clearly differentiates Dynatrace AI Observability from competitors and resonates with technical and executive buyers, and influences category perception
  • Develop high-quality content and messaging. Own the messaging strategy for AI Observability and steward the canonical messaging that web, demand, content, AR, and sales teams reuse consistently across mediums to communicate business value and drive demand
  • Lead product launches and go-to-market activities — including target segments, use cases, and sales plays — in close partnership with product management, sales, and marketing
  • Build and maintain sales enablement materials including decks, battle cards, and training programs, drive sales adoption and effectiveness of those assets, and help sellers win competitive deals
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning and GTM decisions, and serve as the subject-matter expert in this area to support the competitive team
  • Build structured feedback loops with customers, field teams, and analysts to validate narratives and surface emerging needs
  • Collaborate with analyst relations to secure positive coverage and reinforce Dynatrace’s leadership position in relevant reports
  • Present at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings as a subject matter expert
  • Lead the way internally on leveraging AI agents to scale AI Observability messaging and influence, serving as an internal thought leader on how marketing can harness AI
  • Track high-level KPIs — including content consumption, sales play effectiveness, and narrative clarity and effectiveness — to measure marketing impact and inform decisions

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
