Why You’ll Love This Role

Cribl is expanding its Legal Team to meet its rapidly growing needs! In this role, you’ll be part of a high-performing, collegial and fun Legal Team that partners closely with our product, GTM, and security and compliance teams and directly contributes to driving Cribl’s growth. This role reports to the Director, Product and Intellectual Property.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • Implement and maintain Cribl’s privacy program, including program management, identifying priorities, and ensuring compliance with global privacy laws and regulations;
  • Provide practical guidance to product, marketing and other teams on legal and privacy issues, including on related generative artificial intelligence laws and regulations;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify issues, propose solutions and drive business outcomes;
  • Remain current on the evolving privacy landscape, anticipate trends and educate team members accordingly;
  • Negotiate privacy-related agreements in support of sales transactions.
  • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours.

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • 3-5 years of privacy experience (CIPP/US and/or CIPM certification a bonus), preferably at an enterprise software and SaaS company or similar technical experience;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with U.S. and global privacy laws, including GDPR & CCPA;
  • Strong project management skills with an emphasis on being detail-oriented and organized and an ability to identify priorities and execute;
  • Passion for privacy law, technology, and the intersection of each, as well as an eagerness to learn in a rapidly evolving landscape and growing business needs;
  • Comfort in a remote environment, self-motivated to work asynchronously and independently while managing different time zones;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including cross-functionally;
  • A collaborator with a great sense of humor and ability to think creatively; and
  • Juris Doctorate and a relevant license to practice law in good standing.


Salary Range ($129,000 - $202,000)

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus
