At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

At Netflix, our mission is to build the advertising engine that powers a world-class CTV streaming experience — one that's fair to advertisers, transparent to Finance, and effortless for the teams who run it day to day.

Our Team

The Ads Platform team builds the systems that power monetization for our Connected TV advertising business — from deal structuring through delivery, reconciliation, and invoicing. As a CTV publisher scaling a growing ad marketplace, we're investing in a modern, AI-first billing platform that can keep pace with the complexity of programmatic and direct-sold CTV deals, without sacrificing the accuracy and auditability Finance depends on.

We're looking for a Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for billing and financial workflows on our ad tech platform — including how we design AI-assisted billing automation with the right human checkpoints built in from day one.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for billing and financial workflows across CTV ad revenue: impression/ad-slot reconciliation, invoicing, revenue recognition support, discrepancy resolution, and dispute handling across demand partners, ad networks, and direct advertisers
  • Translate ad tech mechanics — fill rates, viewability, make-goods, programmatic vs. direct-sold terms — into clear, buildable requirements for Engineering and Design
  • Define the product architecture for AI-first billing workflows, including the datasets an agent needs (impression logs, deal terms, rate cards, discrepancy thresholds), the tools and skills that automate reconciliation and invoice generation, and the human-in-the-loop checkpoints and guardrails (audit trails, approval chains, reversibility) that protect billing completeness and accuracy
  • Drive discovery and scoping on 0-to-1 problems with no existing playbook — define what v1 looks like, write the PRD, and iterate based on data and stakeholder feedback
  • Manage product scope tightly across competing priorities (accuracy, speed, automation coverage, partner-specific needs), knowing what to explicitly cut from v1
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Ad Ops, Engineering, Design, and Finance/Accounting to align billing requirements with deal structures and revenue recognition needs
  • Define and own the metrics for billing completeness and accuracy, working with Eng/Data on instrumentation and using the data to prioritize the roadmap
  • Write and socialize product documentation so the design is auditable and understood by cross-functional partners
  • Run the product development lifecycle end-to-end — discovery, spec, prioritization, launch, and post-launch iteration — in close partnership with Engineering

Candidate Experience

  • Ads Industry Expertise: Solid understanding of programmatic and direct-sold advertising, and CTV-specific mechanics (impressions, fill rate, viewability, frequency capping) — enough to write credible product requirements without hand-holding from Ad Ops
  • Billing & Financial Workflows: Experience shipping products in invoicing, reconciliation, revenue recognition, or dispute resolution; understands where billing errors typically originate and how Finance/Audit will scrutinize the output
  • AI-First Product Experience: Has shipped agentic or automated workflow products — defining datasets, tools/skills, and orchestration logic as product requirements, with explicit human-in-the-loop and guardrail design for a high-stakes, accuracy-critical domain
  • Ambiguity & Scope Management: Track record of taking a loosely defined 0-to-1 problem, scoping a workable v1, writing the PRD, and saying no to scope creep
  • Core PM Craft: Strong discovery, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable running a roadmap end-to-end and being measured on outcomes, not just shipping
  • Cross-Functional Fluency: Can speak credibly with Engineering (system/data design), Finance (accuracy/controls), and Sales/Ad Ops (deal mechanics), and translate between all three

Nice to Have

  • Experience with programmatic billing — settlement and reconciliation flows for auction-based, real-time or near-real-time bidding transactions
  • Experience with designing billing APIs - designing scalable systems by deploying standardized API frameworks across billing, reporting, and reconciliation workflows
  • Experience building fintech products for multi-sided marketplaces — payment, settlement, or revenue-share flows between two or more transacting parties (e.g., publishers, DSPs, SSPs, ad networks)
  • Experience building fintech products for adtech marketplaces specifically
  • Experience with loyalty, incentive, or rebate/rebilling products — relevant given CTV deals often include make-goods, bonusing, or tiered incentive structures
  • People management experience — relevant if this role is expected to grow into leading a small pod of PMs, or into a Group PM function, over time

Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
