Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

At Okta, we believe AI agents will fundamentally transform how products are built, operated, and supported. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of internal AI agents that improve how our teams work across engineering, product management, developer support, UX design, UX research, and documentation.

In this role, you will partner closely with engineering, design, and internal stakeholders to define, prototype, ship, and scale AI-powered workflows and agents across the company. You will own the roadmap, requirements, adoption strategy, and success metrics for a growing portfolio of internal AI capabilities.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone excited to work at the intersection of AI agents, developer tooling, workflow automation, and product development. The ideal candidate is deeply curious about AI, moves quickly, enjoys prototyping, and is energized by building products that make other teams dramatically more effective.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and own the roadmap for internal AI agents and AI-powered workflows across product development and engineering organizations
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to build AI agents for:
    • Product management workflows
    • Coding and developer productivity
    • Developer support and troubleshooting
    • Documentation generation and maintenance
    • UX design acceleration
    • UX research and synthesis
  • Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and translate them into clear product specifications and prioritized execution plans
  • Prototype new AI agent concepts using modern AI tooling, APIs, agent frameworks, and workflow orchestration platforms
  • Drive rapid experimentation to identify high-impact AI use cases and scalable patterns
  • Measure adoption, effectiveness, and business impact of deployed agents and continuously improve outcomes
  • Help establish best practices for AI agent development, evaluation, governance, and lifecycle management
  • Stay current on emerging AI agent technologies, frameworks, models, and tooling ecosystems
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS, developer tools, AI, or platform products
  • Strong passion for AI agents, generative AI, and the future of AI-powered software development
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering teams on technical products and workflows
  • Comfortable building prototypes and experimenting directly with AI tools, APIs, and agent frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Highly curious, fast learner, and biased toward execution and iteration
  • Strong product instincts with the ability to identify workflow pain points and translate them into scalable solutions
  • Experience with developer tooling, APIs, LLMs, copilots, automation platforms, or workflow systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with modern AI tooling ecosystems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, Claude Code, LangChain, MCP, or agent orchestration frameworks is a plus
Why This Role Matters

AI agents are rapidly becoming a foundational layer in how software companies operate. This role will help shape how teams across Okta leverage AI to build products faster, improve quality, reduce operational friction, and unlock entirely new ways of working.

You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI capabilities while directly improving the productivity and effectiveness of teams across the company.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
