Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join:

Our Product Marketing & Management leaders imagine the ideal experience for our community and work backwards, creating innovative products that delight our guests and hosts — and crafting the narratives that bring those products to the world. They deeply understand the needs of our users and translate these into a strategy that combines strong product thinking, deep research, and compelling go-to-market storytelling. They partner with talented cross-functional team members across engineering, design, operations, data science, marketing, and communications, leading teams to execute a shared vision. They are incredibly detail-oriented and hands on.

The Difference You Will Make:

You will be part of the team responsible for product roadmaps and launches at Airbnb. You will drive specific features that are part of every launch and determine how they are positioned and communicated to the external world. You are responsible for the success of Airbnb products throughout their life cycle — from concept to release to growth. And your cross-functional work ensures a consistent product voice across the experiences being built at Airbnb.

We are seeking a Product Marketing & Management leader to join our Tickets team. Tickets is a new and fast-growing business spanning attractions, tours, and live events, and you'll be at the forefront of defining the category for Airbnb — shaping a product guests love, building the supply that powers it, and telling the story that brings it to market. This is an exciting opportunity to stand up a business from the ground up and leave a lasting impact on how the world explores and connects.

A Typical Day:

  • Develop and maintain a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Airbnb Tickets.
  • Synthesize guest, host, and partner feedback and translate it into product features and positioning.
  • Develop the public-facing messaging and narrative for Tickets, and land the value proposition with guests, supply partners, and the media.
  • Align product teams and cross-functional partners across marketing, communications, and PMM.
  • Develop partnerships with attractions operators, tour providers, and live event suppliers, with a focus on both supply and demand.
  • Ensure the existing storefront is healthy and the quality bar is high across ticket listings.
  • Role model behaviors that encourage open communication and curiosity.
  • Make judgements and prioritization decisions that are in the best interests of our users.
  • Efficiently execute to ship products and deliver impact for our business and users.

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience.
  • Experience creating product messaging and positioning and delivering it to customers and the media.
  • Demonstrated inbound and subject matter expertise, ideally in ticketing, travel, events, or marketplace businesses.
  • Background in ticketing marketplaces, including hands-on experience with operator and supply-side tools and with ticketing standard APIs and integrations (e.g., reservation and distribution systems, connectivity platforms, barcode/QR validation).
  • Requirements gathering & documentation — framed around turning ambiguous problems into clear specs that align eng, design, and partners.
  • Backend ticketing data model — ticket types, fare/price classes, entitlements, and how those relationships structure inventory.
  • Inventory & availability modeling — capacity, time slots, holds, and real-time availability across supply sources.
  • Able to build compelling customer-focused stories and work with marketing and communications partners to bring them to life.
  • Excited to build a new business that brings the best possible ticketing experience to all the guests and hosts on our platform.
  • Demonstrated track record of product leadership in a cross-functional environment.
  • Built and scaled global consumer products, marketplaces, or ecosystems that people love.
  • Entrepreneurial track record of taking an idea to reality and leading teams through a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working on consumer products that drive significant revenue.
  • A strong ability to effectively use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy and go-to-market decisions.
  • Excited to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoys doing individual contributor product and product marketing work and staying in the details.
  • Strong ability and desire to travel frequently, including domestic and international.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
