Jama Software helps companies build complex products that meet compliance requirements while accelerating development lifecycles. We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to own the product strategy for how Jama Software wins in the market, prioritizes what gets built, and defines success metrics. In this role  you will own long-running product initiatives while sharing overall product ownership. In the Associate Product Manager role you will create and manage the business constraints for your initiatives, provide insight on product direction from both business and user value perspectives, maintain a healthy and well-defined backlog, and build trust with stakeholders through direct, open, and honest communication about deliverables. 

You will contribute directly to a critical area of our product roadmap and work with key stakeholders to help define product innovation strategy and bring new, differentiated capabilities to the market. You will work closely with Product Marketing, Engineering, Business Development, and Customer Success to shape and support the business needs of our customers in regulated and unregulated industries. 

What You'll Do: 
  • Create business cases and product requirements documentation to justify and define new development projects 
  • Manage feature iteration and collaborate with scrum team throughout the product lifecycle 
  • Partner with Product Design on concepts and prototypes, and Engineering on development execution 
  • Develop deep understanding of client needs and market trends through client interaction and other market research 
  • Communicate the product roadmap for assigned areas with key stakeholders 
  • Participate in customer feedback sessions to gather insights for product improvements 
What You'll Bring: 
  • 2 to 4 years of software product management or product ownership experience 
  • Experience working iteratively in an agile or lean environment 
  • Experience communicating and managing expectations of enterprise stakeholders (buyers, IT, power users, process groups) 
  • Experience in building and maintaining large mature enterprise software 
  • Demonstrated, measurable success launching and managing innovative products or product features to drive customer delight and revenue growth 
  • Ability to work self-directed within a fast-paced environment – individually, in small teams, or across functional groups 
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making and product performance evaluation 
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse stakeholders 
  • Ability to break down large problems into smaller valuable increments
