  Project Coordinator with Financial Focus_____________________________________________________________________

Full time Project Coordinator position available with Haworth’s largest, global contract furniture dealer. Established in 1981, we are a 2nd generation, family-owned company looking for the ideal candidate to join our team.

Project Coordinators act as “Command Central” for team and other departments in the coordination and assignment of workflow and communication.  The Coordinator typically becomes the customer’s main point of contact, working directly with the customer on reorders, service work, questions/issues regarding lead times and ship dates.  The Coordinator takes ownership and accountability for the process and works closely with all departments (Design, Sales, Project Management, Installation and Accounting).  The focus of this Project Coordinator position will be largely related to the financial aspects of the team.    

Duties Include:

  • Assist in the preparation of client presentation materials and proposal presentations
  • “Front-to-back” capabilities with customers on job/projects after initial point of sale
  • Monitor bottom-line of project through invoicing to insure booked profitability
  • Acquire labor quotations
  • Follow-up with both Account Managers and clients regarding purchase orders and invoicing.
  • Research original orders and assist clients with invoice clarification and provide back-up documentation as required
  • High level of customer interaction – often single point of contact for customers
  • Back-up support for Sales and Project Managers

  • Moderate to high level of product knowledge
  • High level of technical expertise with specific software, i.e., Khameleon (procurement software) and Project Spec (product specification software) where possible in addition to moderate skills in Excel
  • Exceptional customer service skills & multi-tasking abilities
  • Moderate to high level expertise in vendor/customer discounting
  • Moderate to high level of independence – able to work with minimal supervision
  • Quick with production
  • Finance – Ability to double, triple check work and accuracy
