Project Manager IV

itD is seeking a Project Manager IV to drive execution of cutting-edge spatial audio research programs within Meta’s Reality Labs. This role will play a critical part in planning, tracking, and delivering research initiatives focused on next-generation audio technologies, supporting engineers, researchers, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in research-focused project management and a proven track record of delivering complex projects in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.

Location: Onsite – Redmond, WA
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $40 - $45 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive planning and execution of spatial audio research projects aligned with program delivery goals
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation across research and engineering teams
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports, including progress updates, risks, and dependencies
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including task tracking, workflows, and completion records
  • Coordinate procurement activities for research equipment and vendor services
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with researchers, engineers, and external partners
  • Support sprint-based planning, tracking, and reporting across program workstreams
  • Contribute hands-on operational support to ensure program success

Internal Responsibilities

  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
  • Complete client case studies and learning materials (blogs, media material)
  • Contribute to Digital Transformation practice development initiatives
  • Participate in internal networking events (virtual and in-person)
  • Partner with leadership on career development opportunities

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 3–5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within research or product development environments
  • Proven experience managing sprint-based projects, including planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including maintaining task boards and communicating risks and progress
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working in research environments or supporting R&D programs
  • Familiarity with spatial audio, binaural audio, or audio signal processing
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C++, or Max/MSP
  • Experience with user research or UX studies
  • Background in event coordination, demo support, or visual design
  • Exposure to audio production or audio technology domains

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required
