Blink is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team. If you love working with innovative and exciting clients alongside creative individuals who are highly collaborative, this is the role for you!

As a Project Manager at Blink, you will lead the successful delivery of UX research, strategy, and design engagements for some of the world's most innovative organizations. You will partner closely with clients and cross-functional teams to create clarity, drive alignment, manage risk, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the high standard of quality our clients expect. This role will be responsible for keeping our team on the right track by monitoring schedule and budget, and helping to see and remove roadblocks that come up throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, feel giddy around a beautifully organized Gantt chart, and a dedication to delivering extremely high-quality work.

What you will be doing:

    • Lead the planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and on budget.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and serve as one of the primary points of contact throughout project delivery.
    • Develop and execute mitigation strategies that protect scope, quality, timeline, budget, and team wellbeing.
    • Understand the business implications of project decisions and balance client needs with delivery realities and project profitability.
    • Communicate project status, recommendations, and potential challenges in a proactive, transparent, and solutions-oriented manner.
    • Support project intake and prioritization in partnership with senior project and program leaders for one of our core client accounts.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, design, engineering, human resources, operations, research, and external vendors.
    • Ensure compliance with internal project management standards and governance processes.

What we are looking for:

  • 3-6 years of project management experience leading client-facing projects within a consulting, agency, or product design environment.
  • This position is an in-person role, and candidates are expected to be available to work from our Seattle office on a daily basis.
  • Highly motivated with a focus on the details.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills. Able to build rapport and partnership with our clients.
  • Passionate about process, learning, and growth.
  • Thrives in ambiguous environments, takes initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, varying projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Things that would be nice to have, but not required:

  •  Familiarity with UX research methodologies, user-centered design processes, and product development lifecycles
  • Experience with project financial analysis including utilization, forecast management, margin tracking, and resource planning
  • Experience working in a consulting firm.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
