Proposal Manager (Remote)
Red Clay is seeking a Proposal Manager to join our sales team. Our Proposal Manager will work with our Sales Lead and SMEs to create and prepare proposals in response to Requests for Proposals. Our ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, experience in proposal preparation, and will be highly collaborative. This will be a remote position.

Proposal Manager Description
The Proposal Manager works to understand the needs of our clients, the business value proposition, and proposal requirements to write compelling content that demonstrates Red Clay's abilities, service offerings, and value to our customers, ensuring content is clear, logical, and easy to understand.
Responsibilities 
  • Manage, drive, and lead the proposal process, from receipt of solicitation through submission and follow-up, identifying and addressing potential barriers to completion  
  • Manage proposal schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet solicitation requirements 
  • Manage the proposal team 
  • Primary point of contact from receipt of request to submission
  • Prepare and modify proposal text, costs, forms, and cover letters based on feedback from Sales Lead and SMEs 
  • Research and track opportunities 
  • Analyze solicitation documents for submittal requirements; maintain strict adherence to those requirements 
  • Translate complex technical information into clear and easy to understand content
  • Assign and monitor work of proposal team, providing technical support and direction when necessary 
  • Manage and maintain proposal-related content, maintaining library of content to reuse 
  • Ensure proposals are prepared efficiently, timely, accurately, and are responsive to identified client needs 
  • Write copy with a consistent tone 
  • Ensure proposals comply with company branding  
  • Create graphics and presentations 
  • Support Bid/No-Bid decisions 
  • Conduct market and competitor research 
  • Evaluate results to develop and execute process improvements 
  • Review contracting documents 
  • Interface with business partners and subcontractors 
  • Execution of accurate, proofed proposal content for messaging and compliance
Qualifications 
  • Demonstrated experience in writing proposal content and coordinating the internal and external flow of proposal inputs and outputs (RFPs, addenda, clarifications, confirmation, queries, emails) 
  • Ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple competing priorities for demanding internal and external stakeholders 
  • Excellent computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite 
  • Experience writing proposals for Utility Industry preferred 
  • Experience in IT Consulting field preferred, either in support or delivery 
  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, Communications, Journalism, or English beneficial 
  • Desire for continuous learning and growth
  • Ability to build rapport and provide to consultative insight and recommendations on proposal content
  • Strong communication skillsets, ability to tailor messaging according to audience
