  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of data imports, updates, transformations, and extracts involving datasets ranging from hundreds to millions of records.
  • Review and understand the logic behind complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and other database processes.
  • Write and execute SQL test queries to verify data integrity, business logic, and expected results.
  • Analyze data using SQL Server, Excel, and related tools to confirm that business and project requirements have been met.
  • Develop and execute test cases covering normal conditions, exceptions, data anomalies, and other relevant scenarios.
  • Review requirements and specifications to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or potential data-quality issues.

  • Strong analytical skills and deductive reasoning, with exceptional attention to detail.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
