Build at Auger
Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains. It connects enterprise supply chain systems—ERP, WMS, TMS—into a single data layer, then uses AI to detect problems, evaluate trade-offs, and execute decisions automatically. The platform eliminates the coordination tax: the time and capital lost when disconnected systems force humans to become the integration layer between planning and execution. Actions that previously required days of meetings and manual coordination happen in seconds, within constraints the customer defines.

Founded by Dave Clark and backed by $100M from Oak HC/FT. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.
About the Role
At Auger, we’re building intelligent systems that redefine how organizations engineer reliability and scale. Our mission is to create tools and platforms that make complex systems predictable, transparent, and resilient. Every product release is a step toward smarter, safer automation, and quality is at the heart of it all.

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who’s passionate about ensuring world-class reliability and performance. You’ll work alongside engineering and product teams to design and implement automated test systems, improve CI/CD processes, and uphold the highest standards of quality across our products.

  • Collaborate across teams to drive test-based design and continuous improvement in our CI/CD workflows.
  • Diagnose, reproduce, and track issues through resolution using tools like Jira, GitHub Issues, or similar.
  • Support code reviews and pair with developers to ensure testability and maintainability.
  • Be a quality advocate, influencing how we build, deploy, and monitor software across environments.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of QA or SDET experience.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
  • Proficiency in at least programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (PyTest, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of test design principles and quality metrics.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
