About Finch

We believe every American household deserves access to counsel in life’s biggest moments. At Finch, we’re building the infrastructure to make justice radically more accessible. Our modern approach to consumer law automates the admin work and puts clients first, starting with personal injury.

Since launching in April, we’ve grown 10x and are now powering pre-litigation for top law firms across the country. We combine expert operators with purpose-built AI to handle intake, claim opening, medical records, police reports, lien management, demands, and everything in between.

We’re backed by Sequoia, Redpoint, and the founders & CEOs of generational companies like DoorDash, Ironclad, and Digits. We’re rebuilding how the law serves everyday Americans from first principles, and we’re hiring exceptional operators to help us scale it nationwide.

This Role

Receptionists at Finch are the first voice clients and vendors hear when contacting the law firms we support. You represent each firm directly, answering calls on their behalf and ensuring every inbound communication is handled with professionalism, accuracy, and genuine warmth.

You’ll serve as the front desk for dozens of law firms—creating a friendly, compassionate experience for callers who may be stressed, confused, or dealing with difficult circumstances, while routing requests efficiently and accurately. This role is critical to preserving each firm’s reputation and delivering a seamless, white-labeled client experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Answer inbound phone calls and messages on behalf of multiple law firms, representing each firm accurately, kindly, and professionally

  • Act as the first point of contact for existing clients and vendors, setting a calm, friendly tone that helps callers feel heard and supported

  • Ask thoughtful, focused questions to understand the purpose and urgency of each call or message

  • Route calls to the appropriate case managers or legal staff, ensuring messages are delivered even when transfers go to voicemail

  • Document and summarize inbound communications clearly and consistently so legal teams have full context

  • Maintain responsiveness and reliability as a core builder of trust between law firms and their clients

Your Team: Legal Operations

Legal Operations is responsible for delivering exceptional client communication outcomes for Finch’s law firm partners. We’re building a team of highly dependable, detail-oriented operators who take pride in providing excellent client experiences at scale—without losing the human touch.

At Finch, you’ll work alongside legal operations professionals who value clarity, accountability, compassion, and empathy—and who are supported by modern tools designed to help them do their best work.

You Might Be a Fit if You
  • Are a warm, confident communicator with a professional phone presence

  • Naturally lead with empathy and patience when speaking with clients

  • Can represent multiple organizations accurately while maintaining a friendly, approachable tone

  • Pay close attention to detail and follow communication standards consistently

  • Stay organized and composed while handling a high volume of inbound requests

  • Are comfortable working independently in a remote environment

  • Take pride in helping people feel supported during important moments

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Compensation
  • $40,000 – $47,000 annual salary

Additional benefits include:
  • 100% coverage for health, dental, and vision

  • 401(k) retirement plan

  • In-office snacks, drinks, and daily team lunch and dinners

  • Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need)

Why This Role Matters

For many clients, a call to their law firm happens during a stressful or uncertain moment. The Receptionist ensures those calls are answered by a knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate human—every time.

By serving as the white-labeled front desk for law firms across the country, this role protects client trust, prevents missed communications, and helps ensure clients feel cared for from their very first interaction.

If you take pride in delivering excellent client experiences, building trust through empathy, and being a reliable presence for people when they need it most, this role puts you at the center of how modern legal services are delivered.

At Finch Legal, we believe in practicing what we advocate.

As a company dedicated to upholding justice and protecting people in the workplace, we are equally committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment within our own walls. We welcome and support individuals from all backgrounds and lived experiences — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or veteran status.

We recognize that diversity strengthens our team, enriches our perspectives, and empowers us to better serve our clients and communities. At Finch Legal, inclusion isn’t just a value — it’s a practice.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
