About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Recruiting Manager to lead our talent acquisition function as we scale. This role balances three key responsibilities: Talent Sourcing & Strategy, Recruiting Operations, and Team & Stakeholder Leadership. You will be a player-coach with a proven spike in sourcing, someone who can personally open doors to hard-to-find talent across product, technology, and clinical roles.  You will balance full life cycle recruiting for key roles while building the team and systems to do it at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Sourcing & Strategy

  • Sourcing Excellence: Personally lead and model best-in-class sourcing, including outbound, passive candidate engagement, referrals, and community-based channels. Build a repeatable sourcing engine that consistently fills pipelines before roles open.
  • Product & Technology Talent: Develop sourcing strategies for product managers, designers, software engineers, data and security talent, and product & engineering leaders, competing effectively with larger tech employers and start ups through a compelling mission-driven narrative.
  • Clinical Talent: Build targeted pipelines for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, care coordinators, and other clinical and pharmacy operations roles, including an understanding of licensure requirements, state-by-state considerations, and the specialty pharmacy labor market.
  • Employer Brand: Partner with Marketing and leadership to sharpen House Rx’s employer brand, candidate experience, and outreach messaging for each audience.  You will be instrumental in identifying talent and optimizing our recruitment efforts to create an exceptional candidate experience that reflects our culture and values in every part of the process.

Recruiting Operations

  • Process & Systems: Own the recruiting process end to end, including ATS hygiene, interview design, structured scorecards, offer approval, and closing practices. Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.  Leverage AI to improve individual performance and multiply the efforts of the team.
  • Data & Reporting: Track and report on key metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, source of hire, offer acceptance rate, quality of hire, and diversity of slates. Use data to continuously improve results.
  • Compensation & Offer Strategy: Partner with People and Finance to benchmark compensation, structure competitive offers, and close top candidates.
  • Compliance: Ensure hiring practices comply with employment regulations and healthcare-specific requirements, including credentialing and background screening for clinical roles.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Team Building: Lead a team of contract recruiters, sourcers, and search partners -  setting clear expectations, coaching on sourcing craft, and building a culture of accountability and high performance. Evaluate agency and contract partners where appropriate.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and executives, aligning on role requirements, setting realistic expectations, and driving timely decisions.
  • Executive Communication: Deliver clear, data-informed updates to company leadership on hiring progress, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of recruiting experience, including 3-5+ years leading recruiting teams or functions, with a demonstrated track record of building pipelines and closing hires at a growing company. Experience hiring across product, technology, and clinical or healthcare operations roles is required. Experience working in a fast growing start up is preferred.  Experience in specialty pharmacy, health tech, or other regulated healthcare environments is preferred.
  • Sourcing Expertise: A clear spike in sourcing, with a strong record of generating candidates through outbound and passive channels, and the ability to teach and scale those skills across a team.
  • Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence and adapt messaging for candidates, hiring managers, and executives at all levels.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficient in using recruiting data and funnel metrics to forecast, diagnose bottlenecks, and drive decisions.
  • Operational Proficiency: Experience designing and improving recruiting processes and tools in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first environment.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary/wage. The actual base salary/wage will depend on several factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills. Actual compensation packages may include other elements such as equity, paid time off and benefits.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
