About the role

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for managing and growing strategic insurance carrier relationships within the Midwest. This role serves as the trusted advisor to customer executives and business leaders, driving adoption of LexisNexis Risk Solutions products and solutions while identifying opportunities to expand revenue and strengthen partnerships.


The RAM develops deep knowledge of customer business strategies, market dynamics, and operational challenges to position LexisNexis as a strategic partner. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, consultative selling, territory planning, and cross-functional leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio of insurance carrier accounts within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Develop strategic account plans that align customer business objectives with LexisNexis solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Achieve revenue growth goals through account retention, cross-sell, upsell, and new solution adoption.
  • Lead regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with customers.
  • Coordinate internal resources across Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to support customer initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, regulatory changes, and customer priorities to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast within Salesforce.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by providing market feedback that influences product and go-to-market strategies.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, business development, or insurance industry relationship management.
  • Proven success managing complex customer relationships and enterprise-level accounts.
  • Experience presenting to executive and senior leadership audiences.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities across a large territory.
  • Property & Casualty insurance industry experience.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, claims, policy administration, quoting, fraud, or other insurance disciplines.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans.
  • Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales methodologies.
Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-Illinois $94,100 - $174,700. Total Target Cash Range: $144,900 - $268,900.If performed in Chicago, IL, the base pay range is $98,600 - $183,000, the total target cash range is $151,800 - $281,600.If performed in Ohio, the base pay range is $85,200 - $158,000, the total target cash range is $131,100 - $243,300.U.S. National Base Pay Range: $89,700 - $166,400, Total Target Cash Range: $138,000 - $256,000. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter.
