Provide U.S. regulatory legal counsel on crypto and financial matters, coordinate with agencies and internal teams on investigations, enforcement, AML/sanctions compliance, remediation, and regulatory filings, and advise on evolving U.S. regulatory developments affecting the business.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with members of the Legal Department and management regarding regulatory litigation matters and relationships with U.S. government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Support the company’s response to regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance reviews, particularly as they relate to and impact AML and sanctions compliance programs.
- Provide guidance and counsel in coordination with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to effectively comply with legal obligations of significant sensitivity and impact within the U.S..
- Support regulatory filings, investigations, remediation efforts and enforcement matters as needed.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ private practice or in-house legal experience with respect to financial services, contentious regulatory matters and/or litigation, preferably involving U.S. financial regulators such as FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OFAC, and state regulators.
- Keen interest in and knowledge of U.S. AML and sanctions compliance programs, ideally with practical experience supporting or advising on these frameworks.
- Keen interest in and understanding of U.S. financial products, including spot trading, margin trading, futures, and options, especially within the crypto industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex legal issues proactively.
- Excellent project management skills, ideally with experience of running or supervising large scale projects or workstreams independently and proactively.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of conveying complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience with internal remediation efforts are a plus.
