This position will be on the front line for generating interest in Red River’s service offerings. Sales Development Representatives make cold calls to prospects to identify decision-makers, qualify sales leads, and set up appointments for Account Executives. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable sales experience, skills and potentially grow into an Account Executive role.

Primary Position Tasks:

  • Identify opportunities for Account Executives to provide value-added technology solutions, including hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, storage, and data center technologies that help customers achieve their mission objectives.

  • Make effective use of the telephone, email, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Outreach IO, social media and other sales tools

  • Work to achieve monthly quotas for qualified sales opportunities

  • Work closely with the Sales team to schedule meetings and uncover new sales opportunities

  • Work closely with marketing to manage inbound sales leads and develop pipeline

  • Live and breathe Outreach for lead and opportunity management

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to prospect for new business by phone on a daily basis

  • Ability to build professional rapport by telephone, email, and LinkedIn with prospects at Executive, or C level.

  • Ability to uncover opportunities via phone conversation, email, LinkedIn through probing questions.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Preferred experience using Outreach IO, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn - Sales Navigator

  • Ability to establish and build rapport with potential new clients

  • Strong ability to work in a team-based environment

  • Ability to be a self-starter and possess good time management skills

Essential Elements:

Desk Position: This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.

Office or Remote Position: This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
