Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: Remote - United States
Experience: We care more about how you operate than where you've been. If you're gritty, coachable, detail-oriented, self-driven, a bit of an outside-the-box thinker, and genuinely care about doing good work - we want to hear from you, regardless of your background.

About the Role

Kantiv is the category-defining, leading AI platform built by AEC for AEC.
200+ of the most influential AEC firms in the world already trust us - and we’re scaling fast. We’re defining the category and setting the standard.
As a Sales Development Representative, you're often the first meaningful interaction a prospect has with our company - and the first proof point that Kantiv is different.

As an SDR, you’ll have a major impact on shaping this role and the future of our SDR organization - with significant growth potential.
You’ll build trust with prospects, research accounts, start relevant conversations, and create high-quality opportunities for our Account Executives. We’ll give you the tools and support to succeed while you focus on what matters most: creating a pipeline.

What You Will Do
  • Research accounts and prospects using a mix of AI-powered tools and traditional sources.

  • Engage prospects across Phone (cold calling), LinkedIn, and email with relevant, thoughtful outreach.

  • Be available to make outbound cold calls during 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST to align with our target prospects' working hours.

  • Travel to trade shows and industry events to support booth setup, engage with prospects, and drive sales opportunities.

  • Hold meaningful conversations that uncover real problems, priorities, and timing.

  • Qualify interest and determine whether prospects are a strong fit for Kantiv.

  • Schedule meetings and provide clear, well-structured handoffs to Account Executives.

  • Maintain accurate activity, notes, and next steps in HubSpot.

  • Use feedback from conversations to improve messaging, targeting, and outreach approaches.

  • Continuously learn new tools and workflows to work more effectively and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience in B2B SaaS sales, sales development, or comparable.

  • Strong conversational skills - you can listen, ask good questions, and communicate clearly.

  • Comfort using AI tools as part of your daily work (for research, writing, learning, or problem-solving).

  • Ability to pick up new tools and processes quickly with minimal guidance.

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to understand new industries, technologies, and business problems - and bring fresh ideas to the table.

  • Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage follow-ups and priorities.

  • Resilient, consistent, and comfortable with rejection - especially via cold calling.

Nice to have (not required):

  • Experience in the AEC sector and/or construction technology.

  • You have volunteer experience (we appreciate people who give back to the community).

Why Kantiv

  • Join a leader in the space riding a wave of explosive growth - real career runway.

  • We arm you with the tools, procedures, and support to succeed - you're set up to win, not left to figure it out alone.

  • Competitive base salary plus commission.

  • Work From Home Stipend.

  • Monthly Wellness Stipend.

  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility and trust.

  • Unlimited time-off policy.

  • Hands-on experience building and using AI-driven workflows and modern sales tooling.

  • Opportunity to develop new skills across sales, technology, and go-to-market strategy.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
