Job Overview

We are looking for a Sales Representative to join our fast-growing team. This role will play a critical part in helping build out the channel partner network and sales infrastructure for their assigned region to achieve revenue targets. You will work closely with management and influencers to build brand awareness and participate in facilitating customers who wish to experiment with emerging technology that has the ability to impact the dairy industry in a large way. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships within the industry to grow market share with channel partners, farmers, and influencers
  • Handle sales process from leads and quote to close; as well as assist the channel partner network in closing sales
  • Locate and close agreements with channel partners as well as influencers to help grow and meet your revenue targets
  • Work across departments and maintain a pulse on any R & D projects at your clients farms and facilitate where necessary
  • Work in-between product, marketing and sales to grow and retain customers
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and result reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Attend conferences and industry events to promote the company and attract new partners
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Perform cost-benefit (ROI) and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Continuously improve product by collecting feedback and sharing it with management;
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 year degree, or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of dairy knowledge & experience
  • Valid Driving license with a clean driving record
  • Deep understanding of Milk Quality, Dairy Nutrition and Reproduction are a plus 
  • Experience working with a CRM (HubSpot)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making, project and time management skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and prospects, build customer relationships and close sales

Working Conditions

This position is a field based position that requires approximately 50% travel within your defined territory, nationally and internationally.  (Not all travel will require overnight stays)  This position involves a high volume of time visiting client sites (farms, industrial settings, etc).  The role requires schedule flexibility, including availability some nights and weekends, to adapt to time zones & travel requirements. There will be time each week for office work which will require a personal computer that we will provide, visually inspecting documents and forms, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds.  Fieldwork will involve working in outdoor environments in varied climate conditions, working with livestock, and requires general flexibility and mobility.
