Job Description: (Contingent Upon Award)

We are seeking a System Architect / Technical Lead to provide technical vision, leadership, and hands-on expertise in support of a major digital modernization program for the U.S. Army. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep experience across infrastructure, data, operating systems, and software development. The Technical Lead will serve as the primary authority for technical decision-making, providing architecture and design guidance while ensuring alignment with Army mission requirements.

Basic Requirements:  

  • B.S Degree
  • 10+ years of overall relevant experience
  • Proven experience in implementing end-to-end technical solutions, including infrastructure, data, operating systems, development, and testing.
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience, providing design, architecture, and development guidance.
  • 5+ years of experience communicating complex technical topics to senior leadership and decision-making bodies.
  • Strong understanding of continuous Risk Management Framework (cRMF) processes.
  • 3+ years of experience managing DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system implementations and development.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with modern development tools such as GitLab, SonarQube, Atlassian Suite, and HP ALM suite.
  • Prior experience in Army or DoD environments, particularly with modernization or transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of secure software development and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

Responsibilities:

In this role, the System Architect / Technical Lead will:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance across infrastructure, data management, operating systems, development, and testing.
  • Lead the team in defining and implementing system architecture, design standards, and development practices.
  • Communicate complex data, system design, and development concepts clearly to senior Army leadership and decision-making bodies.
  • Drive the adoption and execution of continuous Risk Management Framework (cRMF) processes to ensure compliance and security.
  • Oversee and manage the DevSecOps pipeline, ensuring secure, automated, and efficient delivery.
  • Leverage modern development tools (e.g., GitLab, SonarQube, Atlassian Suite, HP ALM) to enhance team performance and quality assurance.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and mission-aligned technology solutions.
  • Provide hands-on oversight of Salesforce CRM implementation and development effort, ensuring system functionality and user adoption.
