Security Operations Specialist I, Remote Monitoring Operations Center (RMOC)

Monitor advanced physical security systems, maintain situational awareness, initiate and coordinate security incidents, document actions in a case management system, support security personnel during incidents, and prepare reports for leadership and external stakeholders.

The Security Operation Specialist I position is responsible for maintaining situational awareness, gathering information from internal and external sources, coordinating incidents with security leaders and intelligence analysts and disseminating information for priority matters. This job will interact with customers, law enforcement, external parties, and employees at all levels of the organization.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Initiate and manage security incidents for Corporate Security
- Operate and monitor advanced security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control
- Conduct real-time surveillance and investigate security threats, deploying mitigation techniques
- Document actions in the case management system and prepare security reports
- Provide situational awareness and support to security personnel during incidents and special projects
What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Experience
- 3+ years of equivalent military / law enforcement /security operation center work experience
Skills
- Self-starter and motived to address all issues and incidents
- Ability to master Corporate Physical Security computer-based technology, proficiency in Microsoft office applications, GIS systems, and other open-source search engines and applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work independently and part of a team, and work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and in a stressful environment
- Effective research and analytical skills
- Effective information management skills
- Ability to assess issues and solve problems
- Effective documentation and written communication skills with the ability to prepare executive level situational reports
- Effective oral communication skills with the ability to present incident details in a clear and concise manner to regional security leaders and executive level management
- Knowledgeable on computer hardware and software applications
- Detail oriented, able to multi-task in stressful situations

- Office environment
- 24x7 network operations support
- Possibility of weekend and/or evening shift work
- Minimal travel required

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Ability to work overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Proficient in monitoring open sources to identify events which may impact company operations
