About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience
Risk Operations gives Salesforce a central way to identify, prioritize, and manage cybersecurity risk. The team works with security, engineering, and business partners to speed up decisions, improve visibility into risk, and make sure issues are escalated and resolved on time. It is part of Assurance, which is moving from spreadsheets and annual scrambles to continuous, automated controls built into how Salesforce ships.
We are looking for a Security Risk Operations Lead to drive the execution, maturity, and continuous improvement of our security risk management programs. You will own cross-functional projects, operational workflows, and stakeholder engagement. You will also help shape the Risk Operations operating model and turn risk goals into clear initiatives and scalable processes.

  • You’ll work alongside security leaders, program owners, engineering teams, and governance partners.
  • You’ll have real ownership of a real roadmap and the chance to define what modern assurance looks like.
  • You’ll work in an engineering-first culture that uses version control, code review, and automation, and where outcomes matter more than activity.
  • This role is based in Bellevue, WA or McLean, VA and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

  • Lead rapid risk decisions by coordinating timely reviews, approvals, and escalations, and give decision-makers the information they need to act.
  • Drive cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, managing priorities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Own and improve risk workflows, including security issue management, policy exceptions, risk acceptance, and remediation, so governance is consistent and issues are resolved on time.
  • Partner with security, engineering, compliance, and business teams to align priorities, run risk reviews, clear blockers, and drive decisions.
  • Build scalable processes, operating standards, and escalation paths, and hold teams accountable for remediation commitments and risk disposition.
  • Define and improve metrics, dashboards, and leadership reports that show risk exposure, remediation progress, exception trends, and program effectiveness.
  • Find ways to cut manual work and build automated workflows with engineering and platform teams.

You’re Our Person If...

  • You have 8+ years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), information security risk management, or a related area, including leading cross-functional projects.
  • You understand security risk management, including risk assessments, security findings, policy exceptions, risk acceptance, remediation, and risk governance.
  • You manage priorities, dependencies, and deliverables well, and take initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • You communicate clearly, influence cross-functional teams, and drive accountability and risk-based decisions.
  • You design and improve GRC processes with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and automation.
  • You use GRC platforms, operational metrics, and reporting to spot risk and support leadership decisions.
  • You take ownership, handle ambiguity and competing priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.

Even Better If...

  • You have experience turning security, risk, regulatory, or compliance requirements into technical implementation requirements.
  • You know security controls and frameworks such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks, ISO 27001, System and Organization Controls (SOC), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), or the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
  • You are familiar with AI security, AI governance, privacy, and evolving global technology regulations.
  • You have worked in an engineering-first environment and want to build skills on the engineering side of assurance.
