Summary
DLA Piper is seeking a talented writer as a Senior Attorney to join its Litigation group, Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions subgroup, to work with its Class Actions group. This position is a non-partnership track and is open to any US office, with a preference for New York metropolitan based candidates.
 

Responsibilities

  • Drafting briefs, motions and memoranda

  • Reviewing and drafting discovery responses

  • Analysis of discovery to inform case strategy and motion drafting

  • Prepare deposition outlines

Minimum Education

  • JD

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience

  • Experience drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery and summary judgment motions

Bar Admission

  • Admission in the bar for the jurisdiction in which you are applying

Essential Job Expectations

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment;

  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment-The firm's work location requirements may be modified at the firm's discretion

  • Hybrid - Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home

Pay Transparency

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $235,000 - $400,000 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
