About the team

Brand Studio lays the foundations that help Stripe accelerate. We do this by creating, evolving, and maintaining Stripe's high-quality, versatile, and forward-looking brand design systems, experiences, and advertising campaigns. We sweat the details. We make it seem effortless. The Experiential team is responsible for bringing Stripe's brand to life in the real world, from flagship events and industry conferences to internal summits and curated partner experiences. This team operates at the intersection of creativity, strategy, technology, and production.

What you’ll do

Senior Brand Designers at Stripe demonstrate a passion for the craft of design and a deep understanding of how design communicates brand essence. You will be responsible for defining and advancing Stripe's experiential design systems across physical experiences, digital surfaces, and mainstage creative content. You work at the intersection of design systems, concepting, and storytelling, creating design frameworks that scale while still feeling intentional and human. The ideal candidate is technically fluent, conceptually strong, crisply articulates design decisions, and collaborates seamlessly with creative directors, producers, marketers, communications, and engineering partners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end design of experiential programs, from early concepts and storytelling through detailed design, production, and launch.
  • Translate Stripe’s brand and product strategy into compelling physical, digital, and hybrid experiences for global audiences.
  • Create scalable visual identities, design systems, and toolkits for events and environments that extend Stripe’s evolving brand.
  • Partner closely with producers, marketers, product teams, and senior stakeholders to define goals, make tradeoffs, and deliver work on time and at a high bar.
  • Art direct agencies, fabricators, contractors, and other external partners; provide clear feedback and uphold quality through execution.
  • Design keynote and presentation systems that make complex ideas feel clear, cohesive, and engaging.
  • Help evolve the Experiential Design discipline by sharing craft knowledge, improving team practices, and mentoring other designers.
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 6+ years of experiential, environmental, brand, or integrated design experience, ideally for technology or product-led companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in art, design, or a related field
  • A portfolio demonstrating concept-to-production work across events, environments, installations, keynotes, or other immersive brand experiences.
  • Experience leading large-scale conferences, trade shows, executive or customer events, or comparable IRL and hybrid experiences.
  • Strong visual design, art direction, and storytelling skills across physical and digital media.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex work while influencing designers, agencies, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment in incorporating stakeholder feedback while protecting the core creative idea and quality bar.
  • Familiarity with motion design systems and how to apply them consistently across contexts
  • Deep understanding of design principles: layout, grid systems, typography, color, iconography, and photo art direction
  • Exposure to designing for live event environments: LED walls, stage visuals, real-time rendering, and large-format displays
  • Proficiency with design collaboration tools, including Figma and Keynote, and a systems-thinking approach to extending design systems across shared patterns
  • Working knowledge of emerging AI tools and how they fit into a professional creative production workflow
  • Strong track record delivering high quality work independently, and in close collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Find a meaningful balance between optimizing for speed, quality, and doing challenging, interesting, frame-perfect work
  • Are persuasive and humble in explaining your work, process, and decisions and crave feedback
  • Love working with other designers to help them learn and grow—and have them help you learn and grow
  • Have excellent organization and presentation skills, and excel in written and verbal communication
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel or inch
  • Are passionate about Stripe's mission, are dedicated to a user-first mindset, and have experience working with data and insights
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience designing within real-world production constraints, including materials, fabrication, installation, wayfinding, accessibility, and on-site iteration.
  • Experience building scalable experiential identity systems across multiple locations, audiences, or event formats.
  • Comfort experimenting with emerging technologies where they improve storytelling or audience participation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach to critique, mentoring, and learning across disciplines.

  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
