GEICO is seeking an experienced Senior Business Manager to support the Service Engineering Team. This role will report to the Chief of Staff of Service Engineering in Geico Tech. The role is dedicated to supporting the Service Engineering organization in driving, coordinating, and executing work that is critical to the day-to-day running of the business. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted collaborator, keeping priorities on track, streamlining rhythm of the business, executive workflows and driving organizational success.  

Responsibilities:    

Serve as champion of business operational excellence for the Service Engineering Leadership Team: 

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the executive office, including rhythm of the business operations, meeting preparation, follow-ups, communication, and executive visits.  

  • Support budget, headcount management, compliance planning, tracking and remediation in partnership with the chief of staff. 

  • Act as a liaison between executives and internal/external stakeholders.  

  • Attend key meetings, take meeting notes with emphasis on action item capture (who?, what?, by when?), and drive follow ups.  

  • Track email/Slack correspondence and projects as directed.  

  • Enable the team to prioritize and act on what is the most impactful for our internal customers and identify any roadblocks that might get in the way.   

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business, Liberal Arts) and 5+ years of experience in office management, operations management, strategic project management, or related role(s).  

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  

  • High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism  

  • Positive, flexible attitude  

  • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work across organizational and reporting boundaries.  

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to perform and prioritize multiple projects and tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail  

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities in fast-paced and ambiguous environment; can adjust priorities, decisions, and actions to respond to multiple demands, unexpected events, and current information daily.   

  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.   

  • Strong business data analysis skills with ability to create effective tables/charts and PowerPoint presentations.  

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion  

    

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in business management, chief of staff, communications manager, or equivalent role in a complex operations organization that spans multiple US locations and time zones.   

  • Experience in utilizing curiosity to both deescalate conflict and to diagnose pain points for teams, moving them to good, and going the extra mile to ensure they are great.   

  • Ability to smooth out collaboration across groups, challenge decisions, question judgment, and voice concerns.   

  • Demonstrated experience influencing without authority to drive scale activities with resources shared across an organization. 


 

Annual Salary

$115,000.00 - $230,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
