NVIDIA is widely recognized as one of the most desirable employers, with some of the most talented people in the world working here. If you're passionate about turning complex data into clear, compelling visual experiences, we invite you to join our team. At NVIDIA, we believe that diverse perspectives drive innovation. As part of the DGX Cloud team, you’ll be helping build the visual layer of our AI and cloud platform—empowering the teams that operate the world’s most powerful GPU infrastructure. Your work will shape how we see and lead the future of accelerated computing.

What You’ll Be Doing:

We are looking for a Senior Data Visualization Engineer to join our DGX Cloud team and craft interactive, high-impact visual interfaces that help infrastructure operators, engineers, and executives understand and optimize the performance of NVIDIA’s GPU infrastructure. You will design and build rich UIs and dashboards that make operational data accessible, intuitive, and actionable.

  • Build interactive visualizations using libraries such as D3.js, Apache ECharts, Vega, or similar tools.

  • Design and develop modern frontend applications (React, TypeScript, Next.js) that surface insights from large-scale cloud telemetry.

  • Translate complex GPU and cloud operational metrics into visual stories that guide decisions and actions.

  • Collaborate with backend, SRE, and data engineering teams to shape APIs and data models tailored for visualization.

  • Contribute to the UX and design of observability and analytics platforms used by infrastructure teams across NVIDIA.

  • Drive performance, accessibility, and usability across visual dashboards and internal tools.

  • Own and lead projects from concept through execution, with a focus on usability, scalability, and maintainability.

What We Need To See:

  • 5–9+ years of professional experience with a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience), or 2+ years with a PhD, in front-end development, data visualization, or related fields.

  • Mastery of web-based data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, ECharts, Vega-Lite, Chart.js).

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks like React or Next.js.

  • A strong design sensibility with a passion for making data accessible and beautiful.

  • Familiarity with real-time telemetry systems, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and backend integration.

  • Experience with data storytelling, information design, and crafting responsive UIs for complex data.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A portfolio or examples of past work that showcase data visualizations or interactive tools.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Contributions to open-source data viz tools or public visualization projects (GitHub, Observable, Tableau Public, etc.).Experience working with observability data (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana).

  • Familiarity with GPU, infrastructure, or cloud operations domains.

  • Demonstrated ability to distill noisy, multidimensional data into clear, visual insights that drive action. Fluency in accessibility and inclusive design practices for visual data.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
