Job Description

As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for leading the creative direction of the Zella women’s brand by conceptualizing, sketching, and executing collection ideas that align with the Brand Ethos and reflect current fashion trends relevant to the modern athletic customer. You will collaborate cross-functionally with concept, merchandising, product development, and technical design teams to effectively realize the overall vision.

A day in the life…

  • Conceptualize, accurately sketch and execute collection ideas that represents target customer with performance, wearability and trend in mind.
  • Bring to life the assortment with thoughtful application of color across new, core, and carryover styles.
  • Act as fashion authority to drive by researching and analyzing the market with a focus on the active lifestyle.
  • Focus on innovation and research of relevant trends and aesthetics, developing raw materials and silhouettes for upcoming seasons.
  • Manage calendar and workload across design team to ensure all milestones and due dates are met.
  • Effectively collaborate with leadership and cross-divisional partners to ensure alignment on priorities and direction.
  • Manage and develop an efficient and effective design team through performance feedback, goal setting and development plans
     

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, preferred
  • 7+ years' experience in design industry and 2+ years of experience managing a design team, preferred
  • Experience in athletic preferred but not necessary
  • Strong ability to sketch
  • Strong understanding of industry and trends in active womenswear
  • Ability to handle high volume of styles
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver the right level of detail appropriate to the audience
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe CS.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skill, and ability to work independently or as a team

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$110,500.00 - $183,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
