Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, versatile, operational, and hands-on DevOps Engineer to become the newest member of our tight-knit and collaborative 3-person team at TuoTempo, with a trajectory for growth into a Team Leader role.

Key Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will focus on a variety of stimulating activities, including:

  • Infrastructure Evolution: Participate in the monitoring, maintenance, and evolution of the system infrastructure supporting the TuoTempo web application.
  • Deployment & Support: Design, create, and support system distribution; test and monitor application code.
  • Developer Enablement: Support our internal development teams in the effective use of our organizational systems.
  • Innovation: Propose and implement new solutions based on innovative technologies.

Growth Trajectory & Leadership

This position offers a clear path toward a coordination role, with the future perspective of coordinating 2 resources and reporting directly to the Platform Manager. The responsibilities in this leadership track include:

  • Planning and assignment of team activities.
  • Providing technical support to resolve complex issues.
  • Mentoring and professional development of team members.
  • Management of performance evaluations.

On-Call Availability

The role requires availability for paid on-call shifts (1 or 2 weeks per month).
Interventions during this period are compensated as overtime work.
The on-call rotation begins only after an initial training period, typically 6 months after joining the company, depending on individual learning progress.

 

Qualifications

  • Preferably, a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology. If you do not have a degree, you should have a greater number of years of relevant experience
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a DevOps
  • Good knowledge of Bash scripting, security, network protocols, etc
  • Good knowledge of Linux (Debian-like, Alpine, Command Line)
  • Familiarity with relational and NO SQL databases
  • Familiarity with coding with AI
  • Knowledge of GitOps and DevOps principles and tools (Gitlab, Github, Terraform, Helm)
  • Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes principles
  • Professional fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English (B2)
