At Tecton, we solve the complex data problems in production machine learning. Tecton’s feature platform makes it simple to activate data for smarter models and predictions, abstracting away the complex engineering to speed up innovation.

Tecton’s founders developed the first Feature Store when they created Uber’s Michelangelo ML platform, and we’re now bringing those same capabilities to every organization in the world.

Tecton is funded by Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Kleiner Perkins, along with strategic investments from Snowflake and Databricks. We have a fast-growing team that’s distributed around the world, with offices in San Francisco and New York City. Our team has years of experience building and operating business-critical machine learning systems at leading tech companies like Uber, Google, Meta, Airbnb, Lyft, and Twitter.

We are seeking an experienced Field Marketing Manager to strategically plan, execute, and optimize field marketing programs that drive quality lead generation and pipeline acceleration. This key revenue-focused role will lead high-impact in-person and virtual events that generate measurable business outcomes. This role bridges the gap between marketing and sales, creating targeted campaigns and events that generate qualified leads and support revenue objectives.

This position is open to candidates based near our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and execution of field marketing programs, including in-person tradeshows, roadshows, partner events, deal acceleration events, community meetups, and virtual events
  • Partner closely with sales team to develop and execute field marketing strategies that directly support pipeline and revenue goals
  • Financial oversight of regional marketing budgets, including spend decisions for venues, event production, travel expenses, and staffing resources
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry communities, partners, and vendors to expand market presence
  • End-to-end event management including pre-event planning, day-of coordination, and post-event follow-up with emphasis on sales enablement
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, and vendors using project management best practices in Asana
  • Promotional planning in partnership, with ownership of named channels and collaboration with digital marketing and sales
  • Achievement of quarterly pipeline and revenue targets through targeted field marketing activities
  • Quality assurance of all field marketing activities and measurement of impact on sales pipeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in field marketing or related marketing role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Outstanding project management, organizational and communication abilities
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Budget management experience
  • Willingness to travel

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
