The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide operational support to the HR service team and our clients. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to help startups build their HR foundation and framework. Join our team and make an impact.
What You’ll Do:
Client Support
- Partner with 2080HR’s management to support multiple client engagements, adapting to various client environments and needs while providing strategic and tactical HR support
- Deliver best-in-class client support on critical HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll changes, leave administration, unemployment claims, and job information changes
- Proactively support processes, procedures, and policies that improve employee engagement and align with our clients' missions and cultures, helping employees achieve the company’s business goals
- As a fractional embedded HR team member, directly support client’s management and employees on their HR needs
- Address employee benefit questions in partnership with client’s broker of record, and collaborate with brokers during Benefits Renewals and Open Enrollment
- Collaborate with 2080HR’s management and client leadership teams to strategize and support execution of people strategy projects
- Analyze metrics and provide insights to client leadership teams in partnership with 2080HR’s management
- Maintain accurate employee records in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Manage existing HR systems to ensure compliance - help to assess and introduce new innovative programs, and implement them
- Based on the engagement, may process payroll with 2080HR’s manager oversight
- Support client learning and development programs
- Visit clients onsite as needed
Internal Support
- Facilitate Client Onboarding and Offboarding
- Ensures client support time is tracked appropriately for client invoicing
- Develop and maintain human resources and general industry knowledge
- Support team members and support a positive work environment
- Conduct research to aid policy development and client communication for Delivery Leadership team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Capital/Resources, I/O Psychology, or Communications preferred
- 5+ years prior experience in HR Coordinator and/or HR Generalist roles
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Start-up and/or full-cycle HR experience preferred
- Experience working in a multi-state environment preferred
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously, delivering HR expertise with a customer-focused and mindful account management approach
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business
- Proven ability to research and analyze problems, present potential solutions to leadership, and execute them effectively

Location: Remote - Los Angeles, CA, United States
For Los Angeles, California applicants, the pay range for this role is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually.
