About the Role

Remitly is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Senior Manager, Analytics & Data Science- a strategic thinker with deep analytical expertise, a passion for improving customer experience, and a proven ability to drive change through strong cross-functional partnerships. In this high-impact role, you will shape the vision and lead the roadmap for the Core Transfer Experience team. Your mission - elevate the customer experience by removing friction and unlock significant cost efficiencies across our payments ecosystem. You'll do this by harnessing data to uncover opportunities, optimizing end-to-end processes, and embedding experimentation into product strategy.

This is a hybrid role located in Seattle, WA that requires 3+ days a week working from our downtown Seattle HQ.

You Will

  • Own and lead analytics for Customer Transfer Experience - ensuring signal generation, data integrity, completeness, and real-time availability. You will raise the bar for influencing product roadmap and delivering customer experience with analytics and data science.
  • You will establish robust monitoring and build AI driven alerting mechanisms to proactively surface issues and maintain seamless operations at scale.
  • Harness advanced analytics, AI tools and frameworks, and statistical modeling uncover root causes, identify new opportunities, and inform the business with clarity and precision.
  • Design and deliver mission-critical data and analytics products that power AI-enabled decision-making throughout the send flow..
  • Define and execute a clear vision and roadmap for your team, setting ambitious priorities that align tightly with business goals. You will partner closely with product and engineering leaders to translate analytical insights into tangible outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of rigorous experimentation by championing hypothesis-driven decision making, scalable testing frameworks, and high-quality measurement practices to accelerate product innovation and learning.
  • Build, lead, and scale a high-impact global team of analysts and data scientists. You will provide strong technical mentorship, create a culture of excellence and experimentation, and invest in the long-term growth and development of your team.

You Have

  • Master's degree in a quantitative or computational discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Science, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • 5+ years of people management experience, leading and mentoring high-performing, globally distributed teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • 5+ years of experience working with complex data and raw user signals, with a strong understanding of user behavior analytics and event-based tracking frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, along with hands-on experience using modern analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode) and experimentation platforms (e.g., Statsig, Amplitude) to drive evidence-based decision making.
  • Strong product-sense and intuition to translate business goals and customer needs into measurable insights, identifying experimentation opportunities, and influencing product roadmap and strategy with data.
  • Customer-first mindset to deeply understand user behavior and pain points, ensuring product and analytics initiatives drive meaningful customer outcomes and balance business economics.
  • Proven track record of leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to identify growth opportunities, streamline operations, and optimize cost structures.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $192,000-$240,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
