Senior Manager, Commercial Operations

Introduction to team

We create and deliver an aligned, dedicated marketing strategy to fuel each Expedia Group brand's success. Since our travelers interact with us through our brands, we have a brand focus in our marketing, while leveraging the scale and efficiency we’ve built in functional expertise. 

As the Senior Manager for Commercial Operations, you will lead, develop, and coach a high-performing operations team to deliver commercial success and operational efficiency. This will involve ensuring timely project delivery, focusing on continuous improvement, and using a data-led approach to track performance and inform operations strategy. As a leader, you will be responsible for handling resource allocation and planning, ensuring collaboration across departments, and overseeing communication strategies that engage various stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and lead comprehensive commercial operation strategies aligned with business objectives, driving commercial success and operational efficiencies

  • Drive continuous improvements, define processes for new business and business challenges, and adapt/drive new best practices for the team and organization

  • Own the Operations project roadmap and drive difficult conversations on prioritization and business impact

  • Manage resource allocation, project planning, and prioritization, as well as mentoring and developing the team

  • Oversee the creation and delivery of impactful communication plans that resonate across diverse business functions and audiences

  • Establish KPIs for Commercial Operations initiatives, track performance, and deliver insights to SPA and G&O Leadership

  • Act as a central liaison between P&T, Commercial, Growth & Operations, and other EG stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of initiatives

  • Identify the root cause of problems, consider a range of options and their impacts, and implement the best solution

Experience and qualifications:

  • 10+ years in Operations, Project Management, or related roles, including leadership experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading change programs and driving organizational transformation

  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into actionable project plans

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering strategies to diverse audiences

  • Proven ability to lead successful teams through partnership, motivation, and innovative solutions

  • Data-driven approach to measuring success and driving continuous improvement

  • Goes beyond solving partners’ needs and issues

  • Passionate about delivering delightful partner experiences

  • Proficiency in tools and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau) with a track record of driving adoption and innovation

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $156,500 to $219,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $250,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
