Talkiatry is seeking a Senior Manager to own Paid Search, one of our largest and most strategically important patient acquisition channels. This role is responsible for improving acquisition efficiency and scaling patient volume through value-based optimization, rigorous experimentation, and disciplined budget allocation across Google, Bing, and ZocDoc.

The ideal candidate approaches Paid Search as a quantitative growth problem, not just a channel management function. They are capable of operating with the rigor of a data scientist, even if they don’t formally hold that title. They are highly analytical and are comfortable making budget allocation decisions and forecasting under uncertainty. They have experience applying incrementality thinking and value-based bidding to improve acquisition efficiency at scale. Success in this role is defined not just by platform-level optimization, but by improving marginal acquisition efficiency and helping the business make smarter investment decisions at scale.

About Talkiatry:

Talkiatry is transforming mental health care by making high-quality psychiatry more accessible, human, and sustainable for both patients and clinicians. Co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist, we were built to solve one of healthcare’s most urgent challenges: millions of people struggle to access mental health care, while clinicians face growing administrative burden and burnout. Through our technology-powered, in-network platform, we’re changing that, creating a better experience for patients and empowering clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care.

Today, Talkiatry is the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the U.S., with 750+ psychiatrists, 250+ therapists, and more than two million patient visits delivered nationwide. At our scale, every innovation has real impact. Every workflow we improve, every technology solution we build, and every patient experience we redesign helps thousands of clinicians provide better care to hundreds of thousands of patients. We’re not just growing quickly — we’re redefining how behavioral healthcare is delivered in America.

Joining Talkiatry means joining a mission-driven team that is solving complex problems at scale, driving meaningful change in healthcare, and building the future of mental health care with compassion, innovation, and purpose.

You will:
  • Own and scale Talkiatry’s paid search program end-to-end, including forecasting, budgeting, pacing, bidding strategies, account structure, and creative testing for Google, Bing, and ZocDoc.

  • Develop and execute a rigorous testing roadmap, including ad copy, keyword strategy, landing page variants, and automation/algorithmic controls; quantify impact using sound experimental design.

  • Build and maintain marginal CAC and spend sensitivity curves to inform investment decisions, pacing, and budget allocation across search channels; work closely with marketing leadership to regularly present this to Finance to inform budget planning and reallocation decisions.

  • Optimize both automated and manual bidding strategies to drive performance at scale. Use advanced tactics such as smart bidding, portfolio strategies, and dynamic bid adjustments to efficiently hit key performance targets like CAC, Marginal CAC and ROAS.

  • Monitor key market signals (e.g. auction insights, impression share, CPC trends), as well as competitive pressures, platform changes, and algorithm updates, proactively adjusting strategy to maintain our competitive advantage.

  • Partner closely with Analytics, Finance, and Operations to ensure accurate attribution, efficient spend allocation, and alignment with downstream capacity and patient demand.

  • Integrate downstream retention, engagement, and LTV signals into bidding and optimization systems by partnering with Analytics and Growth leadership.

  • Evaluate channel and campaign performance through the lens of incrementality and marginal efficiency, not solely platform-reported attribution.

  • Leverage AI-enabled workflows and tools where appropriate to improve analysis, testing velocity, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • 6-9+ years of experience in B2C growth/performance marketing, with 5+ years deep in paid search (especially Google) with hands-on expertise in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and related tools.

  • Experience leveraging downstream conversion quality, LTV, retention, or other value signals within bidding and budget allocation strategies.

  • Strong analytical and technical fluency, including experience using SQL, Python, Excel, and/or BI tools to analyze large datasets, inform investment decisions, and build forecasting or scenario-planning frameworks.

  • Proven experience running structured A/B and multivariate tests in paid media.

  • Proactively identify actionable insights and recommendations on spend allocation and growth opportunities.

  • Experience evaluating and operationalizing emerging Google campaign types (e.g. Performance Max, AI Max) using structured testing methodologies and clear guardrails.

  • Sharp problem-solving instincts, high ownership, and a bias toward structured experimentation.

  • Comfort making high-conviction recommendations with imperfect data and amid evolving market conditions.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.

  • Bonus:

    • Experience in analytically rigorous environments such as finance, consulting, analytics.

    • Experience marketing in healthtech or other regulated categories.

    • Experience running YouTube, Google Demand Gen, and/or Google App Campaigns.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
