About the Role:
Help us tell one of the most compelling stories at the intersection of consumers, technology, and advertising.
Fetch is changing the way consumers engage with brands and the way brands build relationships with consumers. Each day, millions of consumers use the Fetch app to live rewarded, shopping, playing mobile games, working out and more.
As technology, AI, commerce, and media converge, Fetch is uniquely positioned to help define what comes next. We have an extraordinary consumer audience, a differentiated view into real-world purchasing behavior, and a technology platform that connects consumer engagement to measurable business outcomes. Now we need a storyteller who can help the world understand why that matters.
We’re looking for a Senior Manager of PR & Communications who knows how to find the big story, shape the narrative, and land the headline. Someone who can turn a product innovation into a technology story, consumer behavior into a cultural conversation, and a business milestone into a reason for the industry to pay attention. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to simply manage a press calendar, distribute announcements, or wait for news to happen.
We want someone who creates opportunities. Someone with exceptional editorial instincts, a genuine curiosity about technology and consumer behavior, and the ambition to help build one of the most compelling brands in technology. If you love finding the story nobody else sees, know what makes a journalist lean forward, and get a genuine rush from landing a headline that moves the conversation, we should talk.
This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.
Role Responsibilities:
Own the Story. Shape the Narrative.
- Develop and execute compelling external narratives that support Fetch’s broader communications strategy, highlighting the intersection of consumer engagement, technology, AI, and commerce.
- Find the big ideas and unexpected angles that elevate Fetch beyond the traditional rewards and loyalty conversation.
- Identify and execute high-impact media and thought leadership opportunities that elevate Fetch and its leaders in relevant conversations about consumer engagement, technology, and media.
- Bring and build relationships with influential journalists, editors and producers across consumer, technology, business and retail media.
- Move quickly to capitalize on breaking news, emerging trends, cultural moments, and industry conversations.
- Own the planning, execution, and measurement of priority earned media initiatives, establishing clear objectives, evaluating coverage quality and audience reach, and using performance insights to refine communications approaches and improve results.
Put Technology & Innovation at the Center of the Conversation.
- Lead the development and execution of PR initiatives that showcase Fetch’s technology and innovation, partnering with Product, Engineering, Data, and executive stakeholders to translate key developments into compelling external stories.
- Translate developments in AI, personalization and consumer intelligence into compelling, accessible narratives.
- Develop and execute thought leadership initiatives that highlight Fetch’s innovation in consumer engagement and commerce, securing opportunities that strengthen brand credibility and industry visibility.
Make Fetch a Consumer Brand People Talk About.
- Turn Fetch’s unique understanding of shopping and consumer behavior into insights that spark national conversations. Lean into what it means to “live rewarded” every day.
- Partner with Marketing and Product to amplify launches, partnerships, campaigns, and cultural moments.
- Develop earned media stories and communications initiatives that reinforce Fetch’s consumer value proposition and strengthen awareness of its rewards platform.
What You’ll Bring
First and foremost, you’re a killer storyteller with exceptional news judgment. You understand what makes a story interesting, why a journalist would care, and how to turn a good idea into a great headline. And you move at the speed of the news cycle.
Beyond that, we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in public relations or communications, ideally with a high-growth consumer technology company, disruptive brand, or agency representing ambitious technology businesses.
- A track record of landing meaningful earned media. You’ve secured coverage that made a difference, and you can explain the strategy and creativity behind it.
- An instinct for the intersection of technology, business, and culture. You’re genuinely curious about AI, consumer behavior, commerce, media, and the technologies changing how people and brands interact.
- Strong relationships and credibility with consumer journalists. You know how newsrooms work, understand what reporters need, and have earned the trust of people who shape the conversation.
- The ability to make complex ideas simple and compelling. You can sit down with an engineer, product leader, or data scientist and walk away with a story that belongs in a major publication.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. You don’t need someone to hand you a story. You go find it, build it, and make it happen.
- Exceptional writing skills. You know how to craft a headline, sharpen a pitch, develop a narrative, and make every word count.
- Comfort with speed, ambiguity, and ambition. You thrive in environments where things move quickly, priorities evolve, and the best ideas can come from anywhere.
- Strong strategic instincts and the confidence to use them. You’re willing to challenge an idea, offer a better one, and push for work that makes a real impact.
