Job Summary:

Amplify’s Product organization is undergoing a significant operational transformation — refining how we plan, resource, and standardize work across hundreds of team members in diverse disciplines on overlapping projects. The Planning & Resourcing team serves as the staffing and capacity nerve center for the Product organization, leveraging this role to drive standardized planning, track builds, and support shared standards and communities of practice across content teams and shared services.

In this dual-facing role, you will work closely with content teams to address operational needs while advancing the central planning agenda. You will ensure operational mechanics — including intake, planning, effort estimation, and build tracking — remain aligned with portfolio resourcing requirements. Serving as the vital link between Content and central operations, you will balance deep craft understanding with operational fluency. This is a mid-level individual contributor role for an organized, data-driven professional eager to serve as the operational backbone for content teams.

We Are Looking For…

An organized, credible operator who can balance the needs of a content discipline with the requirements of a central staffing function. You are comfortable working with data and committed to maintaining accurate, accessible information. You quickly build trust across teams, follow up proactively, and translate effectively between craft and operational perspectives. Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity, you bring a service-oriented mindset to a growing team.

What You’ll be Doing….

1. Drive staffing and capacity visibility across Content teams

Supports central staffing efforts to deliver transparency across the portfolio.

  • Own the resourcing picture across Content teams — Maintain accurate, centralized visibility into staffing allocations, roles, skill sets, and available capacity across Content teams.

  • Monitor velocity and productivity — Track capacity trends and proactively identify risks of overallocation or underutilization before they impact project delivery.

  • Support supplemental resourcing — Assist in coordinating contractor and vendor support for Content teams, ensuring an optimal balance of internal and external talent on key priorities.

  • Serve as primary operational contact — Provide reliable support for Content teams with staffing, planning, and process inquiries, escalating recurring friction points to leadership.

2. Apply standardized planning, execution, and build tracking across Content projects

Establishes standardized planning, execution, and build tracking across Product.

  • Adapt standard team models — Apply standardized staffing structures to content workflows to streamline project setups.

  • Apply effort estimation frameworks — Utilize central frameworks to evaluate content scope consistently and facilitate resource trade-off decisions.

  • Maintain standardized build tracking — Keep tracking views consistent across content projects to provide clear visibility for leadership.

  • Support rollouts and pilot programs — Guide Content practitioners through new operational processes and integrate feedback from pilot initiatives into standard models.

3. Steward shared standards and the cross-functional content network

Fosters shared standards and active cross-functional networks across disciplines.

  • Lead the Content collaboration network — Cultivate collaborative cross-functional forums to align standards, share critical best practices, and oversee end-to-end execution of agendas, documentation, and strategic action items.

  • Maintain shared standards — Keep playbooks, templates, definitions of done, quality guidelines, and operating norms current and accessible.

  • Provide optimization support — Help teams identify operational bottlenecks and adopt proven planning and execution patterns.

  • Translate between craft and operations — Maintain open communication to align discipline practices with the central operating model.

4. Connect Content resourcing and standards to the broader operating model

Connects resourcing, standards, and execution to broader planning, stage gates, and financial processes.

  • Integrate with stage gates — Support the Business Process team to ensure Content resource plans align with governance stage gates.

  • Connect with finance — Partner with Finance & Analytics to link resource planning with budget tracking and capitalization reporting.

  • Report on operational metrics — Deliver clear reporting on Content capacity, allocations, and process adoption to senior leadership.

  • Support operational rhythm — Partner with stakeholders to manage meeting cadences, tracking, and reporting.

What we're looking for…
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, resource management, capacity planning, or program coordination, ideally within creative, design, production, or studio environments. Experience in EdTech, publishing, or education is a plus. May substitute years of experience for education.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail across data structures and tracking systems.

  • Proficiency with data management, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to maintain clean datasets and build clear visual reports.

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders and balance cross-functional priorities.

  • Experience using project management and resource tracking software (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office suite). Familiarity with creative workflows is preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering concise updates to leadership and functional teams.

  • Proactive problem-solver comfortable operating in evolving organizational structures and motivated by K–12 education.
