BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field. MSME is a plus.
- 7+ years of professional hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience designing complex automated systems as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
- Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in electro-mechanical motion control as applied to prototype test fixtures.
- Proficiency with general ME CAD tools, generating BOM, I/O lists, and P&IDs: SolidWorks or equivalent.
- Adept at generating test plans, running tests, collecting data and generating customer proposals.
- Proficiency in Python required.
- Good understanding of basic mechanics and machine design.
- Experience with automation or product development processes from concept to production.
- Experience with designing sheet metal, 3D printed, and machined parts.
- Design complex automated systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Create and manage technical documentation (e.g., BOMs, I/O lists, P&IDs).
- Develop Automation mechanical design solutions using advanced engineering principles and CAD tools.
- Support project lifecycle from conceptual design through production implementation.
