Design at Tremendous

We design experiences that make complex systems feel straightforward and intuitive by taking our time to get things right. We favor depth and scale over speed, while raising the bar for quality so our product stays ahead of the competition. We’re a place for designers who care about doing things well.

About the role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to raise the craft of the product across Tremendous.

You'll report to our Director of Product Design and work horizontally. Craft projects across the dashboard and the recipient experience: navigation, information architecture, the design system, motion. You'll also take small projects from pods that have no designer. Those teams have little user experience work of their own, which is why this is a Foundations role.

What you'll do

  • Raise the craft of the product. Dashboard and recipient experience. Navigation, information architecture, how things open and close, empty states. Motion, micro-interactions, and transitions are a big part of the job.

  • Own the design system, and raise it. Set patterns other designers can follow with clear documentation. Close gaps that produce one-off UI. Push the quality of the system itself.

  • Set a vision for product foundations. Where craft, UX, and UI should go so the product holds up next to Stripe or Brex. Make that vision concrete enough to build toward.

  • Cover work that has no designer. Small projects from pods without an embedded designer.

  • Partner with an engineer. You'll work with an engineer focused on shipping this craft work with you. Use AI to prototype, show how something should feel, and help engineering implement it.

  • Designers at Tremendous own the copy in their designs.

What you'll bring

  • 8+ years as a product designer, including experience working on B2B products. You can do the product thinking: edge cases, shipping work that has to hold up in a real product.

  • High craft. Strong visual design, UI, and motion. Your portfolio shows it.

  • You've owned and improved a design system.

  • You've done information architecture and set a product vision or redesign. You can tell that story.

  • Strong communication and storytelling, written and verbal.

  • You use AI in your design work, including prototyping (v0, Claude, Cursor, or similar).

What's cool about the role

  • Ship work you’ll be proud of.

  • Competitive pay and equity. Base salary for this role: $200,000 - $265,000.

  • Real benefits. 100% covered health (US), unlimited PTO, 12-16 weeks paid parental leave.

  • Fully remote. Work from anywhere in the Americas.

  • Great culture. Read more about how we work in our public handbook.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
