About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Senior Product Manager 1 - Technical in Austin, TX

What you will accomplish: 

Job Duties: Design and drive the complete project development roadmap, including the end-to-end execution schedule for new eBay seller-related products.  Develop and effectively champion a data-driven and market-informed product strategy that aligns with eBay's corporate strategy and delivers tangible outcomes for sellers and eBay's business. Develop a compelling and iterative launch plan that supports both eBay marketplace business growth goals and seller success metrics. Collaborate with senior leaders across eBay’s management team to align plans with partners in the core product, design, and technology teams, as well as within the teams across functions. Research new and emerging technological advancements for monitoring product development, KPIs, and continuous improvements. Document findings and partner with business leads to propose new ideas and functionalities to existing processes.  Periodically evaluate individual and team performance at each project checkpoint. Lead hiring and recruitment processes for new team members, while maintaining alignment with the project and technology budget. Leverage design and research partnerships to get insights and feedback throughout the entire product lifecycle. Partner closely with program management leads to identify and mitigate project risks and highlight achievements. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements: 

1. Experience building and managing platform and API-based products (2 years)

2. Experience with system design concepts, including architecture evaluation, scalability assessment, and integration of platform services (2 year)

3. Experience defining and executing product roadmaps using data and market research (2 years)

4. Experience with Agile/Scrum product development methodologies (2 years)

5. Experience leading complex multi-phase product initiatives with cross-functional teams (2 years)

6. Experience using product analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Amplitude) to support data-driven decisions (1 year)

7. Experience applying user research and qualitative research methodologies in product development (1 year)

8. Experience working with large-scale consumer-facing or marketplace products (1 year)

9. Experience managing global or matrixed engineering and design teams to deliver product functionality (1 year)

10. Experience developing and monitoring KPIs and product performance metrics (1 year)

Additional Details

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
