Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Data Platform to join our fast-growing team. ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for ensuring data is collected, managed, and used in a way that enables operational effectiveness while meeting necessary security, privacy and regulatory requirements.  You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, research, legal, and customers – balancing the need for high-quality data usage with the responsibility to safeguard sensitive information. Building customer trust through disciplined data governance and transparent data handling practices is core to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and own the roadmap and success metrics for our data platform that supports radar performance, analytics, and operational insights.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritization decisions.
  • Partner closely with engineering and data teams to deliver secure, reliable and scalable data capabilities.
  • Define policies for data security, access, retention, usage, and deletion in alignment with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Partner with customers to define what data is required, how it will be transmitted, stored, and used, and why it is necessary.
  • Clearly communicate our data handling practices to give customers confidence that sensitive and regulated data is protected.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for data-related questions, concerns, and escalations.
  • Evangelize best practices for data governance, security, and customer trust across the organization
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data platform products.
  • Demonstrated experience working with sensitive, regulated, or customer-controlled data.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and privacy principles.
  • Experience collaborating with government customers or operating in regulated industries.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and customer-centric mindset.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
 
  • Experience with government or defense-related compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, EAR, SOC 2, FedRAMP, NIST).
  • Familiarity with classified, controlled unclassified information (CUI), or export-controlled data.
  • Background in radar systems, sensors, aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical technologies.
  • Technical background in data engineering, analytics, or distributed systems.

The expected annual salary range for this role is
$137,196$205,382 USD
